Actually Martin, you could well be right, the door did not lock but the door security led started to flash immediately on pressing the start button, which made me assume it was a fault elsewhere.
I think I’ll get a door lock and try that.

Just a thought, but have you checked that the drum shaft isn’t broken. I have had this a few times, and it could cause the drum to catch the seal.

Re: Bosch WAE24162GB/03 Stuck on Heat even on rinses!?

    Cheers Jem,
I’ll have a fiddle and see how we get on, I have the machine here in the workshop, the customer decided to buy a new one from me so there is no pressure to succeed, but it is in mint condition so seems a shame to strip and scrap it. I’ll let you know how I get on.

    Re: Bosch WTL6305GB/01 no heat

Ok so I have replaced the NTC located at the front of the machine and now it heats but is barely warm :rolls:

I am wondering if the temperature limiter could be faulty http://www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/produ … ure/163297

but I am unsure what reading I should be getting from this.

Is this something that tends to go wrong or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Yeah after searching and not finding anything, I posted this and noticed it had already been done. My bad.

So it’s basically hold the start button turn one click anti clockwise hold for about three seconds then switch back to off position. Machine now reset. 🙂

Well I checked the heater and it was OK, so went through everything and eventually found a burnt component on the module.
I am not sure if these are repairable? But I think it will probably end up being replaced with a new washing machine.
