nobody loves me!!!
I’m guessing faulty PCB, But if somebody could advise me of the correct Ohms readings for the defrost heaters that would be ace!

it seems the Brushes going O.C. corrupted the PCB, replaced PCB solved the fault.

ParticipantRe: Siemens FLA – F63 ERROR
Thanks for the reply Martin – I have since inspected the machine and found that the motor brushes were open circuit. It seems that the F63 error is ‘locked’ into the PCB because I have replaced the brushes and still get the error.
I think what i need now is to cancel the error code (or re-set the PCB). I have done this before on Bosch machines but the same method fails to work on this Siemens.
The buttons are the touch sensitive type.
Any help on doing a Siemens PCB reset anyone?

Turns out, the guys at EMW were once again spot on.
The terminal block that feeds the drying solenoid and temp. senser was leaking. The tiny plastic mould that seperated the metal pins had melted. Fitted a new terminal block and problem solved
Thanks for all your input, and we now know when a heater blows the module the connecting blocks can melt, causing funny faults. peace out.

hey thanks for all the help on this one. The planned monday visits turned into thursday due to customer holiday, hopefully not booked because of the dramas!
EMW says it must be leaking through the connector block or the loom, i will check these things and also the voltage reaching the solenoid.
The solenoid in question tested the same resistance as the others.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint BWD129 – energising drying solenoid all of the
EMW are adamant that the newest board sent to me is not faulty. This really only leaves the connector block and the loom to the solenoid as potential culprits.
It appears either a stray voltage is tracking through the connector block or the loom has rubbed through and the solenoid is completing its circuit there!
I will update after mondfays planned visit.

ParticipantRe: Landline phone diverted to mobile???
i have just been quoted from BT buisness..
£50 a month for: 1x landline phone
1x Blackberry mobile phone
Free diversion from landline to mobile
500 mobile minutes to any network
500 Txt mssgs.Which all in all from what you guys have written, makes a very good deal i guess.

If you have a business bt line you can get a package with a bt business mobile that doesn’t cost anything for the diverted calls in theory, our bt mobile is £16 a month but it saves all divert charges
This sounds like the answer, man i have been surfing the net and getting nowhere fast with this!!! thanks.
So your total monthly cost would be £16 for the BT mobile, £10 for the BT landline plus any charges for oy-going calls made from either phone. What are the tariff charges like on the BT mobile?

I think it is that pump at fault.
🙂Why not replace the pump yourself and make some dosh. I always use a Stuart RG250 and have no problems http://www.kgnpillinger.co.uk/_assets/documents/180.pdf
If you dont want to wire it to the machine, then use the same one but with a flow switch.
I have never seen these external pump systems before. I guess it is a simple procedure to change if I could shut off the hot supply. As it goes, the faulty pump was wired into the machine, so wiring should not be a problem, a straight swap.
Thanks for your advice and next time i come accross this fault i may attempt the repair myself.

hey, thank you both for your replies. I shall do the swapping pipes idea and probably advise they call a plumber!!! I think it is that pump at fault.

hey, thanks for the advice garn 🙂
As it happens i scrapped an identical machine today. The spider, heating element, belt, bearings all done for, but the module, pressure system and motor are all good!
For a change, a nice twist of fate!!!
Going to see the machine again tuesday. I will report my findings!
