Re: Miele D/W G1530SC – noisey drying fan

removed sides and lid, anti clockwise unscrew the two vents on inside of D/W. Lay Machine on LHS, remove base and the fan ass wiggles (just) out.

Fan was located bottom RHS, housed in plastic.

Where the machine sucks in the air, it had sucked in a tablet wrapper. It was this plastic wrapper causing the noise.

    done πŸ™‚

yes the m/c has two sensors in the evap. grill, both flat types, one lays along the top, one on the polystyrene outside on the front.

The wires go off through the back, m/c is integrated!

srry for the late reply. The diagnostics said it was main PCB to blame, fitted new PCB on control panel and worked fine πŸ˜€

    many thanks guys.

you know the black plastic bracket that holds the stats in place? i am awaiting one of those, have been for weeks. same fault on my customers m/c.

There is an over-heat cut out as well if i assume correctly.

If this is open circuit, replace all thermostats in both areas πŸ™‚

Very true, I take my laptop, the guide is Awesome πŸ™‚ have personally only had troubles with the top board on these though… not the monster module with the huge heat sync.

Hey, thanks for the advice there Chris. I was not aware of the danger. Luckily I didn’t get a shock.

Not sure how to access the diagnostics on this… Guessing now it is like any other Zannussi type.

No fault code has been shown as far as I am aware, but the motor refuses to turn. I will take another look this week and report any further findings/developments.

The induction three-phase motor mounted on EWM3000NEW, EWM25… and EWM35… appliances is powered by an β€œINVERTER” board, which has the function of converting the single-phase voltage to a three-phase
    voltage.

Re: Should have stayed in bed

    man, i feel for you!!!

I had one of those days myself a few weeks back…. Job 1, had to walk over grass to get to house door, yep, dog sh*t. Did I notice until I was in the customers kitchen? No!

On the way to job 2, fill car up with petrol. So the pump doesnt cut out and a surge of petrol fills up my shoes as it shoots out of the filling pump and gushes down my legs!

So then I quickly nip into a pay and display car park, no change in my pockets (stinking of petrol and dog sh*t, i might add). “never mind”, i thought, “I’ll only be two minutes”. Two minutes long enough for an over jelous power trippin Β£80 car parking fine!!!

Fortunately the next day was better…

    Re: do you sell machines?

    I supply new m/c’s.

Have a trade account at currys, and Bennetts. Currys is always cheaper though. Normally reccomend Bosch appliances. I use the currys RRP and add Β£30-40 for delivery/installation and removal of old appliance. Most customers would use me even if i priced up way over the mark. It seems nobody likes to deal with the retailers themselves!

If the old m/c is going to make a good profit, I repair it and sell it on. If not it goes for scap.

I would estimate from the initial call out to deem the old m/c dead, to leaving after suppliying and installing a new m/c, I make about Β£100 profit.

If my turnover was getting close to the VAT mark, I would stop selling new m/c’s.
