I’m pretty sure thats what happens if you fit a board without the eprom chip fitted in it, just take it out of the cover and see if it’s there or not.

    Re: Awkward Customers

Yesterday a guy who’s english was very poor came into the shop to by an appliance, picked a lovely recon dryer paid and delivered that afternoon. Next day his two house mates come in asking why we didn’t install the washing machine and you can guess the rest but he has a washer now!

The fan elements are either 10110406 (with mounting bolts) or you can use a beko fan element (if it’s without bolts as the holes are threaded) i’ve not come across any other types. For the cut out you can use a belling SW3022 cut out it’s exactly the same but cheaper!

    Hope this helps

    Re: taking credit cards

The cost is the only down side most credit cards charge 2{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}ish and debit cards can be as much as 30p per transaction. We use streamline. The one good thing we find is you rarly get the “oh i’ve got no money” or “my husbands got the cheque book” (to which i ask if they go to the supermarket fill a trolley get to the til and let it all get rung through then say thesame?!) after you finish the job and give them a bill. Even if they don’t have a card they can ring someone who has!

    Re: The 1st intervention

Only problem i’ve come across is a customer who had a power failure and tried to put the washer back on to a spin after the power was back on and rang us because it just carried on washing. She couldn’t find how to reset the program in the trouble shooting.

Re: How long is a 5 year warranty

It’s a good point about the “fit for purpose” but i’m not sure how it works with warranty repairs, i think an extention for parts fitted near the end of a policy is a goodwill thing. We supply replacement philips small appliances that fail under their two guarantee period, but if the replacement fails it is only guaranteed until the end of period of the first appliance. We have had cases where say a kettle has been exchanged a month before the end of it’s two years and has failed a month after ( not fit for purpose you would think straight away ) but the customer has no come back. Even though it’s a new kettle it goes back to what kwatt said about guaranteeing whats been “Paid for” so the cover runs from the purchase of the first kettle.
