This can be repaired, a new display can be fitted. Not sure on the cost without a model number but not a fortune ( job is best left to a pro as high voltage in microwaves can be a killer even when appliance is disconnected )

first thing to do is remove the arms and give them a good clean, its suprising how much muck builds up in them and stops them working properly.

Have come across similar problems with these, sometimes caused by a damp float microswith in the base (hair dryer job) If still no joy then its nearly always the control pcb

The spray adjuster should be set more or less in the middle of all those points you have to chose from, its not that critical really and the door problem is either the handle spring which has broken (it has two arms and one snaps) or the door interlock is on its last legs

Have come across similar problem after brush change, appliance failed again after about a week with burning smell and it had blown some tracking on the control pcb where the motor connector is. It appears it was allmost burnt out when the brushes where worn and managed to work for a week after before packing up alltogether!, re soldered and all ok no come back but always check for it now as a very annoying recall!!

Have you tried maplins? Cheap as indesit but not as nasty!! Mine measures temperature too which is great for those “it doesn’t seem to get as hot as it used to” customers and i got change from £20
