ParticipantDerek, the d/w being talked about is a different model with a totally different timer so donโt go by that. What wash did you put it on? When I test these out, I either put them on a rinse so its basically fill-wash-drain all in about 10mins. The other is the glass wash, fill-wash-soap disp opens-heater functions and about 20 mins later it drains. I confess it sounds like the timer pcb, however, if it goes sort of quiet, turn m/c off, remove the outer door also the inspection cover/plate (pigs ear I know) and turn m/c back on and listen very carefully, is the wash motor making a humming sound. If your not sure obtain a long length of wood, place one end to the motor impellor housing (white in colour) and the other place your ear. By this method you should notice if there is a noise or not from the motor.
Oh yes you have to be specific on the model number now when ordering a timer, they now look the same but they are not the same (trust me I am a retired brain surgeon).

ParticipantRe: Customer contact.
I was asked to give this customer a ring on mobile b4 calling 8) , no reply ๐ฅ . It was a new build house and I was also calling on another customer so, when I finished at the first one I asked the builders where this customer was, they told me and that someone was in โ I called on the off chance, yep, they were in ๐ฏ I mentioned I had rang and the guy said he never heard it :rolls: , just for fun I rang it while I was there, nope, he said not ringing, he then looked at it and it was in silent mode DOH.

ParticipantHi,
Does this machine have five ledโs running from the left with the prog selector button alongside on the right of these led’s. If so, I have found by changing the timer does work 99 times out of 100. The ser number suggests it was made five years back, again if this is the case, change timer. The replacement timer comes with seven ledโs but when you replace the timer it becomes apparent where these go. When replacing the timer do not forget to lift the white flap that fits between the rubber button and the mini micro button on the timer otherwise you will not be able to select any programmes.

Hi All,
Me again. I would like to thank the previous posts for all the info this is possible on this machine. I can now only assume the problem lies in the electronic timer, possibly a dry joint when the component becomes hot the soldered joint becomes detached etc.
I will be contacting my customer to inform him of this, and I will keep you informed of the outcome.
Many thanks again to you all.

Hi all,
Well, I returned to this machine today ๐ , I set the programme up, (they said they had left it as it was in a fault condition, but not when I turned it on), as I was saying I set the programme up and it read 147minutes to run :rolls: , so I waited after removing top/both sides/front outer door and plinth assy. During the course of the test I checked the heater microswitch for function, meggerd the heater (before the test to be ok), the wash motor run sweetly also the diverter could be heard switching the water from top to lower spray arm, when I say heard I mean the difference in sound of the water against the cabinet. The machine went into drain at 129 minutes and refilled at 127 minutes, the soap dispenser operated and I checked the heater voltage and the rise in water temp to 50C. At 63 minutes the machine drained and refilled at 57 minutes. The machine carried on rinsing to 54 minutes when it drained and it continued on this drain sequence when the display was at 49 minutes ๐ . Sorry to go on.
I checked around and noted the wash motor was activated at the same time as the drain pump, but no advancement to fill. If any of you out there in UKW land have knowledge of this problem know the cause and how to rectify please advise.
Gegsy kindly sent me a PDF which was useful ๐ , however the PDF showed a model with 5 buttons and this one has 4. I have noticed this model does not have the usual disc/microswitch pressure switch unit. I assume the level is activated elsewhere, or is electronic timer fed via
the flow meter. I have a sneaky feeling here this may either be a pressure feed problem or an electronic timer fault.I know I have lost out financially in the time dept on this machine today (from 2.15pm to 5.30pm), stupid I know but that is me, stupid!
Your help and comments would be appreciated.

ParticipantYears ago I thought about a lift, had to be better than using the workmate. I tried and tried to make one, but no use so I gave up on the idea. Now I have a motorcycle (see the avatar), the lift is a motorcycle lift. I have only just received it and I am trialling it out, just to see how effective it is. So far so good, if it proves successful I shall let everyone know on the best tools part.

ParticipantTrue, very true. just lean it onto the lift and raise to a respectable level. Nice.

AH, what we are saying here is this may not be the problem then. If not I am possibly back to square 1.
I no longer use a workmate, or carry it on the van. I use a hydraulic lift, absolutely brilliant for removing built in ovens. You can raise it to the correct height, lower the oven to work in the top and lift it back up again and straight back in the hole (fantastic). However though, I may use it for the Bosch (if I have to).
Thanks for the info Greg.

Greg, where is the board in the sump, on the right (heater side), left (air-break side) or front. Is it difficult to get to, or does the whole cavity have to be removed?
Silly questions maybe, but I will be short of time when I get to this one soooo, any help will do.

ParticipantHi Greg,
That was super fast mate, I am bowled over. I shall look this out and treat it with the respect it deserves and clean it.
Thanks again

ParticipantHi,
Thanks for the PDF Greg, I opened it up the following day and I have just started to read it.
I see on page 11 it says the Aqua sensor is on a board, it does not mention where the board is, I assume by the way it works, the board may be near the water input or near the airbreak. Do you know if this board is replaceable (providing the board is on this model?)
Wendy (bless her) has booked the return call in for tomorrow, this will be fun?
Anyway, if you or anyone else has any suggestions or ideas on this I will be checking UKW on a regular basis for any replies.
Meanwhile I would like to thank you and Steve for the advice given and I will be checking and double checking things when I get there.
Thanks again

Hi Steve & Greg,
Thanks for the comments, the first thing I checked was the pressure chamber and the tube from the chamber to the sump. The tube has a bit of cack in but not to cause any back fill to the chamber, the flow from the chamber into the machine was smooth, not like some with the chamber overfilling (however I have been wrong in the past). I megger tested the heater to be OK but I did not think about checking if there was power to the heater during a wash, ie the heater microswitch being activated during the wash. Talking about the wash, the wash motor sounded fine and the spray arms moved when the door was swiftly opened.
I could not see any water or residue of water in the base to suggest any form of leak, that would activate the float that in turn would activate a microswitch. I even thought the drain pump may have been damaged so I tested this outside the machine when I removed the disc item, I could not at that time stop it from turning (I could but it was difficult).
Greg, where is the Aqua sensor (what is an Aqua sensor, or do you mean the diaphragm that activates the microwswitch to turn off the water inlet) and what is the Rx and Tx (I am a bit thick or its my age).
I appreciate your comments and I would like to be armed with as much info as possible when I return to this customer. Oh, one more thing does the 66 mean minutes?
