Computer problems – blown tracks, dodgy connections, processor fault all possible.

Re: Indesit 1600 evo we16 error code comes up with DOOR

Basically, it thinks that the door isn’t locked – programme will not operate with door in unlocked condition. Check this when “DOOR” appears. If it opens, the lock may well have failed. If the door is locked, the problem will lie in the electronics.

We don’t condone live testing, please don’t do it!

Pressure switch not responding correctly – it thinks that the machine is full when it’s not.

Ensure that the tub is fully empty, remove air hose from switch and blow through to clear any water. Ensure that it’s not kinked or trapped, reconnect and try again.

    Power off when going inside.

Do you meant the traingular blocks? They fit onto the hinge brackets theselves. There is a notch on each hinge for location purposes.

    Re: zanussi bolt

I bought a set of Automotve bits – hex and torx – a couple of years back. These fit into an adaptor for a 1/2″ drive. They come in pairs of short (about an inch) and long (about 3 inches). Fitting the long bit to the bolt and giving it a really good whack with the big club hammer frees them off every time………

Scares the hell out of the customers as well! “If you’re squeamish Mrs, don’t look……”

I’d be more worried if it wasn’t making a noise Mike! Transfer pulley bearing most likely candidate – no parts anymore of course, so it’s make do and mend time.

Re: Fisher&Paykel Smartdrive 058 controller board help?

Without the diagnostics this is a little bit of a shot in the dark…. It probably needs the size setting.

Hold down “temp up”, press “power”. For 5/5.5kg machines, press “temp up” – cold led will light. For 6/6.5kg machines, press “water up” – low water led should light. For 7/7.5kg machines, press “spin speed up” – spin hold should light.

Power off, then run the appliance.

If this doesn’t work you will need to run diagnostics and report the code back.

    Re: Hoover HDC7FM Tumble Dryer

Your appliance has a capacitor start/run motor. This uses a capacitor to effectively “kick” the motor into life – it does wear out. The motor itself can (and does) fail. The rear shaft of the drum fails, allowing the drum to drop and jam solid. Access to the motor involves removing the drum, truly a demolition job.

If you’re not sure how to proceed, you must get pro help – click the link below for an engineer in your area.

    Power off if investigating further.

Re: Fitting belt on Zanussi Dryer

You have to remove the entire rear panel of the machine, and various ancilliaries. Patience is the key. Power off, of course.

    Re: Miele G522 dishwasher

If you inspect the components you need, they will have the part numbers printed on them – the “Tnr—-“. Posting them will help people to identify the parts you require. Be advised that Miele appliance are quite rare – it’s not a volume product and exceptionally long lived, so the odds are not in your favour. The parts will be available from Miele, but tend to be expensive. Very expensive……….
