4223911 is listed for the W8 series. You can get it as 18-ML-10 from Maddocks, under £8.

BTW, the “T.no” is the part number, and virtually every Miele component has it printed or embossed on somewhere.

Tricky – level switch failure/air leak to level switch/blockage in pressure chamber to air switch all possibilities. Had an Indesit today which filled regardless of programme selected – board failure.

    “If I recall correctly”

The Big Askoll pump has a pcb down the middle of the field coils, some have a TOC as well. They are notoriously troublesome – save yourself a heap of trouble and put the conventional motor in.

Re: new element not working ?

Big bang = big load back through system. Stat should click just after turning on – if it doesn’t, it’s goosed. Testing with multi meter (and the power off) will confirm. Very unlucky IMO.

problem wrote:One other thing to note is the thermostat aint clicking when turned also, this is a brand new thermostat one month old so know this is ok.

If it’s not clicking, it’s not OK – element fusing will have fused the contacts, so element and stat required.

Procedure goes – PM, say Hi, then do the “keep it safe, keep it sensible or I’ll edit/delete you”

Want to do it, or shall I?

Re: My hotpoint wma9 doesn`t spin at all

I’m with Iadom here – belting the motor is a bad plan……. although satisfying. Faulty motors, computer boards, chaffed wiring, subsidiary components with wrong values and earth leakages – the list is endless on these.

Engineer time – click the link below. If you are going to investigate further, power off.

I put in your first thread for you – static heat ’til temp – stat closes and re-starts timer 😀

Check wiring at the hinge pivot point and the retainer on left hand side of door.
