    It’s a pressure switch on the end of the heater box, acts as a safety in the event of the machine underfilling – a regular problem with these. Gegsy can give you chapter and verse on the subject……

    There are two thermostats and one cut-out fitted to this dryer. The red button is the safety cut out, so the fault lies either with the inlet thermostat on the back panel of the machine, or the exhaust thermostat on the ducting under the drum. The element may have an earth leak, which will bypass the thermostats until the safety is tripped.

    However, if you don’t have a megger, this is difficult to prove, so perhaps time for some professional help. Click the link below.

    Power off if investigating further.

    Probably the solenoid on the dispenser failed – normally a complete replacement required.

    Please put up the entire model number as there are seven different versions of this appliance.

    Will run for a while, timer stops for static heat – stat closing restarts timer.
