Re: Creda 1200 Cascade Ecowash not spinning

The 1150 will be a “proper” Creda and is therefore ancient with poor parts availablity. Scrap it.

The 1200 is a Hotpoint in a skirt, the model number will be found on a label on the inside of the door frame. A twinkling from the motor is normal; sparks and flashings are not. The brushes may well be sticking or worn out. They are in the shop@ part of the site and are cheap enough.

I would suggest getting the appliance electrically checked for safety given that it’s been laid up – perhaps get the brushes done at the same time. Click on the link below for an engineer in your area.

    Re: Hotpoint DWF Fault codes

You have a DWF— ? The flood protection system is on a separate circuit which is live as long as the machine is plugged in. I cannot recommend that you operate it manually. If the controls are not lighting up at all, it would imply that some sort of control board has blown. Nasty.

The fill matrix has some sort of blockage. The small hose going to the valve is a pneumatic shut-off if the overflow chamber is flooded.

Heat problems Christos. These things eat elements. P/no C00057684, around £30 from memory.

Bear in mind that these machines are extremely awkward to work on, so you may be best clicking the link below for an engineer.

Can’t speak with great authority on that one. However, we have an endemic problem over here with Zanussi front loaders – when the main board blows, it’s a 50/50 that it’ll take the display board out as well – gets horribly expensive.

    Good luck,

Read the wires themselves very carefully – they are marked with position and connector letter.

For future readers – diagram first, then pull the cables!

Re: Ariston LV 62 Detergent dispenser fault

No parts for the dispenser I’m afraid, Shaun – complete unit only. P/no C00075468, email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering. The fresheners can be hung from the top basket in such a way as to obstruct top rotor rotation, or to prevent the soap dispenser flap from opening properly. Surprisingly common problem.

Isn’t there a pressure switch underneath, on the right, next to the sump, behind the drain pump? Had one full of water due to dodgy switch hose about a month back.

    Re: washer over fill

We can’t give you a detailed, blow by blow account of how to fix it. However, the system works on air pressure, so there is a collecting chamber at the bottom, a skinny connecting hose and a pressure switch at the top. Faults can be blockage, pin hole, switch failure. Hint – the front panel comes off.

    Power off, of course…….

The solenoid which releases the flap will probably have failed. Complete dispenser is the only cure – p/no 91943229. Last price I had was about £60 😯 .

Email with p/no to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for up to date price and ordering.

Or there is this alternative form……….

Just in case you’ve had a rough day, here’s a stress management technique recommended in all the latest psychological texts.

The funny thing is that it really works.

    1. Picture yourself near a stream.
    2. Birds are softly chirping in the cool mountain air.
    3. No one but you knows your secret place.
    4. You are in total seclusion from the hectic place called “the world,”.
    5. The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
    6. The water is crystal clear.
    7. You can easily make out the face of the person you’re holding underwater.
    8. See, you’re smiling already!
