    Hi Fused,
You’ve thrown us by starting a second thread……….. Kiwi’s basically given you the same info that I did. ‘Fraid I can’t add any more – I have let Kiwi know, so hopefully he’ll come back with a bit more info.

    Don’t give up just yet……

Not the March – the cold has really been getting to me this winter. I have said for years that the sole benefit of a public school education is that you don’t notice the cold………

I must be getting old. Either that or the winter plumage hasn’t happened – don’t remember a good moult this year? 😀

Getting wet? The infamous soap box leak…… Draining to sink spigot – restricted flow on spin? Maniacal overloading?

    Have a read of this:
    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ge&pid=108
    for the general outline.

R134a is the coolant BTW, not the model number – please re-check and post, to allow the fridge lads a better chance of helping you.

Re: What does flashing lights mean

Personally, I’m not a fan of The Indesit Company, who own Hotpoint. However, I have to say that given the time of year and the peak volume of repairs that always happens before Christmas, 3 days for call out is not bad at all. Give them a chance.

    Re: Re necht dishwasher?

Anybody considered that “Necht” is a play on “Bauknecht”? Sometime world superstar quality appliance manufacturer………. until Whirlpool…….

If they can ruin a brandname, why not let the badge boys finish it off by association?

    Re: Bosch SGS5312 – dead?

Water hardness seems to be part of it. One of your esteemed ex-colleagues was fitting heaters for fun in Scunthorpe IIRC.

OK, so what is left for our poster? Thermostat failure – awkward – on top of heater box. Wiring broken in the door – possible but unusual on this range. Or – the digital board itself has failed. Likely……..

    Re: Bosch SGS5312 – dead?

Isn’t that the fill matrix to sump transfer pipe, Gegsy? :rotl: Seriously, if it underfills, there may be insufficient pressure to operate the diaphragm swith on the end of the heater box – no heat ensues.

    Re: Bosch SGS5312 – dead?

Fill matrix to sump transfer pipe sludged up is the most likely culprit.

    Power off when investigating.
