No reset, Brian. Sure that the microswitch arm has come down again? Had one recently with a carbonised float switch.

ParticipantRe: hotpoint aquarius door lock help
Given the variety of machines which John is having problems with recently, I would suggest that he contacts admin@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with his business details and asks for trade access.

Diplomat is an MFI brand name. MFI have gone bust.
Spares are still available for most MFI appliances from http://www.hygenadiplomatspares.com/index.html .

ParticipantRe: Zanussi Jetsystem starting to fail
The clonking is the drum bearings failing. The drum then runs cock-eyed and cuts through the plastic of the tub, hence the leak. You’ll need the bearing set, drum support spider, tub seal and the tub front half to repair it.
I would suggest that it’s just not a cost-effective repair.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool ADP 970 fault
Constant flashing is F1, which is a failure of the ntc device. This is the temperature sensor and can been seen as the finger sticking up in the bowl of the sump when the filters are removed.
A replacement may be found HERE.
Stay safe – power off if you intend to attempt the repair yourself.

Optical Water Indicator fault. Your machine is not listed on our tech info, so this is an educted guess. Remove filters and see if there is a clear plastic dome sticking into the sump at the 3 o’clock position. If there is, clean it ’til it’s spotless and try the machine again. No change, replace it.
If the dome isn’t there, there’ll be a black plstic grid instead. This can fill with fatty deposits, causing the switch behind to give false readings as the diaphragm doesn’t work properly. The spring in the microswitch is prone to failure as well.
