Yep, clogs up. Took weeks for the scars on the back of left hand to heal.

OK chaps, I started this thread to see what the opinions were – pretty obvious that all in favour said Aye, so as I said about a page and a half ago – get back on Martins’ post and get some ideas organised.
Use BIG PRINT if you think it will help.

ParticipantRe: HooverSpecial Edition Washer Dryer Water problem
Syphoning………. If the end of the drain hose is pushed to the bottom of the stand pipe the water will run in after the wash cycle, and …. run straight back out again. The end of the drain pipe should be set at least 2″ higher than the highest water level used in the wash programme. If you’re not sure, make sure it’s above the half way lineof the drum.

P/no is correct for that appliance. Stick “SMG” on the front and it’s £84.95 on Masterpart.

Got a problem with this Walnut – you may have fitted the right cut-out, you may not have. You should have checked the date code or the colour spot on the the stats and replaced them as a set. If you search the forums, you will find that these are a recurrent problem, usually caused by customer misuse; so education is usually the solution. However, it can be caused by a faulty control stat, so you may well be seeing your customer again, sooner than you think.
Gret the right kit in the van ready for next time.

ParticipantRe: Whirlpool AKG140/WH door won’t stay ajar for grilling
The cam in the hinge wears, which is why it will no longer hold part way. I take it your oven is actually an AKG410/WH? If so you need 2 x 4819 417 18965 – about £23 each plus VAT and P+P.
An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for confirmed prices and ordering.

ParticipantRe: Bosch washing machine loud banging on spin
Interesting – I’ve never replaced a Bosch shock absorber in 14 years…… First step is to get your fitter back for a re-consultation. If the bearings have been replaced it would point to a problem with the drum support on the rear of the inner drum possibly – your fitter should really have picked up on this.

ParticipantRe: AEG D/washer 40300 Pnc 91123240500…Correct Motor?
TDS shows tube heater as 115321-10/9, motor is 1110999-91/7, so should be right for your machine. I think. Anyway, it’s correct for your pnc No.
