Hang fire for the moment – we’ve got a couple of repairers from down under who may be able to advise you further.

Re: Smeg DWI 67.1 Soap Dispenser

    Hi Alex,
The dispenser will have failed for one of two reasons:

    1) The actuator solenoid will have failed, ie no circuit through it.
    2) The actuator solenoid is not receiving power.

If 1), you need a dispenser – p/no 812890061, about £35 plus the usual from memory – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk quoting part number for confirmed prices and ordering

If 2) you probably have a computer fault and it will be worth getting pro help as this is an expensive component.

In theory fitting the dispenser is a screwdriver job, be very careful of the door edges though as you can shave with them.

    Power off if investigating further.

Bit of an odd one this – your code suggests a pressure sensor fault. With the tub empty, disconnect air hose to level switch and blow through to ensure that it is clear. If the fault does not clear, the fault probably lies on the motor control board.

It is unclear from the tech manuals how long the valves and pump should run for in the diagnostic mode.

Power off if removing panels or covers.

Do the obvious first – power coming in at all? After the power switch, it feeds through the display board, so that would be the next place to check – burnt/blown tracks etc.

Awkward with guarantee just out – kick up a dust and see what you can get? A lot of manufacturers may be flexible or offer a discount towards further service, although we do have a few majors in the UK who absolutely won’t.

    Power off if circuit testing.

Re: AEG Gas hob … lack of ignition …

It’s a mains powered unit and you will have to split the hob to access it. Being a gas appliance, I really wouldn’t mess with it…..

    Time for the Corgi man?

It is a thermal cut-out, so the real question is – why did it trip?

The model number is engraved in the top edge of the inner door panel. Without it, we will struggle to give specific advice relevant to your appliance.

Re: AEG 420 Rest Anti – Flood reset?

Shoud just be a polystyrene float under a microswitch. Check that the float is not floating or jammed and that the microswitch “cage” is properly mounted. If you disconnected it to gain access underneath, have you put the wires on correctly?

    Power off please.

    Re: HELP! DWF30

Presumably it thinks it already has water in, if it runs the programme. You need to check water level switch function, and air lines to it for blockages.

For the benefit of future readers, we do not advise anyone to work on a live appliance.

I think you’ll find that it thinks the door’s open. As it’s brand new, yoy should persist in your attempts to contact Necht as the machine will be under warranty.
