    Brushes are p/no 154740, about £23 plus VAT & P+P IIRC.

Motor must be removed – two bolts, quite straight forward.

email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk with p/no for confirmed prices and ordering.

There is a safety toc in the blower motor itself. Check how hot the motor gets when it cuts out. In normal use the motor will get to “just-the-uncomfortable-side-of-warm”. If it is burning hot it will be on its way out and should be replaced.

    Power off before touching anything……..

However, the “E10” codes are to do with water, including solenoid failure. They can become intermittent, causing the programme to pause – and the fan motor stops.

    Re: zanussi TC-481W condenser unit

The condenser housing is a two part moulding – upper and lower “clamshells”. These can become separated or distorted with time. Your real problem with these is access. It’s a demolition job to get into the bottom – the drum will almost certainly have to come out to give enough room.

If you’re not confident, engineer time – check repairs@ or Directories for a UKW engineer in your area.

If you’re going to have a go, power off please :plug:

Re: SmartDrive 058 – power on, lights on, not starting cycle

Apply a bit of logic here – the lid switch is just that, a switch. So, with the leads detatched, the switch reading should be infinite if open and near as spit zero when closed. I do realise that you have replaced it once, but it seems that it is a regular failure.

Ok, to move this on, you will have to tell us the Model number in order to receive more precise advice.

Old Seimens/Bosch machines had a label on the edge of the cavity, just below the lid, new ones have it etched into the top edge of the door inner panel. We’ll need the “Enr” number.

Re: is a pc board a diy fit on a Bosch KGU3201/GB/01?

In theory, this is a screwdriver job and a bit of patience to remove the panel. However…….. If the board removed shows any signs of physical damage – burnt components, PCB tracks and the like, you must investigate the cause and correct it, otherwise your new (and VERY expensive) board will either go bang on switch on, or you’ll being doing the job again in a few months time.

Bear in mind that as a member of the public, Bosch absolutely will not stand any guarantee on this component, so get it right!

We can’t tell you exactly how to do it, but as I said at the top, screwdriver and a bit of patience.

    Power off, of course.

And another thing – even if I did go down to the racecourse with my board and box, I still wouldn’ be able to see over the heads of the crowd to receive the tictac.

    I’d get fleeced…….. GEGSY…………!

    Re: hoover tv630

Generally, you don’t have to remove the motor to fit a capacitor. The drum and front panel do have to go to give you enough room though. The thermostats are integral with the heater unit from memory, so it may be necessary to replace that as an assembly. The heater is in the shop@ module, as are a range of generic capacitors – match the “uf” value for the one you require.

    Be proud, not humble 😉
