    Power off and resistance check on the valve solenoid is the place to start. You should get 3.5kOhms approx. If you do, the fault will be the pcb. Double check the wiring, just in case.

    Inlet valve will sub for the dispenser solenoid for testing purposes.

    Reset procedure is in Known Error Codes (P3). To turn alternator valve on, press Start button again and left hand light will go out.

    Had a few recently with burnt out connectors – wiring repair sorts them. What was wrong with proper AMP tag connections anyway?

    More likely to be THESE ONES if it’s an Indesco motor.

    Have you checked that they are worn out?

    Lock pulley with hammer handle into tub moulding. Undo nut, remove pulley. Refit nut to protect threads and belt the end of the shaft with a very large hammer.

    Subtlety will get you nowhere….. I would advise eye and hand protection.

    SMEG error code are in the Known Error Codes thread above. The lights lit do not conform however – possibly a corruption issue.

    You’ll be back inside three months……. It’s the solenoid which corrupts the computer.

    The spout should be open to allow the bottom of the door seal to drain. Gum or sealant is used to seal the spout to the front of the tub. We use THIS STUFF.
