    Re: another joke.

So, Alexa is thundering through the Outback in his 5 litre Holden V8 Ute (‘cos they haven’t invented the Flying Repairman Service yet), when he spots the Bishop of Woolamaroo standing at the side of the road. He stops and gives him a lift.

50 miles down the road, they have mown down several ‘roos, the odd sheep and numerous rabbits, when through the windscreen they espy an Aborigine, resting on one leg against his throwing stick, off in the Dreamstate – but in the middle of the road. Taking careful aim, Alexa pushes the Ute up to 85, but at the last minute is overcome by guilt.
“I’ve got the Bishop on board!” and swerves wildly around the oblivious figure in the road.

After a moment to compose himself, he says
    “Sorry about that, Bishop”
“No worries Alexa,” says the Bishop, “I got him with the passenger door!”

I suspect a PM will arrive in less than 10 minutes 🙂 .

    1301AWW?

    Door lock is p/no 55X3636
    Timer is p/no 55X5478.

Dave Conway will be able to advise on price and availibility for you.

You have described one of the two classic Blomberg faults, door lock gets wet, goes bang and flashes back to timer unit. Some people have tried soldering the blown tracks back down, but often other components on the PCB are damaged, so replacement is the only guaranteed option.n Simplest way of checking the lock is to shake it; any rattling noises and it’s definitely blown.

    Power off, of course.

The flashes will be in a pattern – 1,2,3,4 pause, repeat for example. Count the flashes and report back.

I suppose it’s a result for you Craig, next time, just ask – the Spares Legend, Mr Conway, may even reply in person 🙂 .

Quite seriously for the benefit of other readers, the whole spares thing has got so complex these days that we find it easier, more accurate and often quicker to answer your questions than to try and list every component that might be needed. Literally millions of the blighters.

Spares@ukwhitegoods.com will be able to source a replacement pump for you – drop them an email.
Fitting involves dropping the front panel of the machine off – it’s a screwdriver job, so well within the abilities of a slightly machanically minded person.

    Power off of course…… :plug:

No, no, no – That was what Ray Price of Zimbabwe said on the pitch to Glen McGrath when refusing to be bowled out easily. The game actually stoppped for a few minutes such was the mirth that ensued….

    Re: Help with Smeg DWF64SSE

This is a variation of the classic “E2” problem. Two separate level switches – operating and flood protection. Appliance fills, blockage diverts to flood protect, drain pump cuts in, sytem resets, does it again until the computer times out – fault. There’s a post in the Articles section which explains (Appliance Specific Faults I think)
