Is what you want Paul. They are located under the rear cover. Screwdriver job with power off.

Check filters, door channel and state of condenser matrix for excess fluff and clean accordingly. The other common reason for stat failure is people opening the door halfway through “to see how they’re doing”. Airflow stops, heat shoots up, safety goes ping.

As this a condenser dryer, the air venying from the front should be cold. After about a minute, pop the door and check for heat in the drum.

Re: Heat Problem with Hotpoint TDC32 Condenser dryer

Run the machine empty on High and check whether there is actually any heat. If no heat at all, the safety thermostat will have tripped and a stat set will be required. If you have low heat, there will be a partial element failure (it is a dual circuit one) and the element will have to be replaced.

Power off if you are going to investigate further. :plug:

The drain pump is mounted separately from the sump on this machine – there is no access from the sump chamber. It would be neccessary to remove the machine from the housing, and panels from the machine to gain access.

If you are not confident with this, engineer time – check the repairs@ facility or Directories for UKW repairer in your area.

If you are going to have a go, power of please.

Temperature sensor failed/out of circuit – can be computer board fault. Tricky one to diagnose – maybe pro help best bet?
Check repairs@ or Directories for a UKW repairer in your area.

You need to check right back into the pump chamber. Is the impellor free to turn? Hands, knees and torch is the only way to check properly.

    Re: Most ridiculous part price

Let’s put the price issue into context here.

Consider the Indesit WIL103 – Price point at Comet – £179.

When the motor blows and takes out the digiboard, this what you are looking at to repair it.

    C00092153 – motor – £89.25 SSP
    C00091907 – module – £79.31 SSP
    1 Hours labour…………£45.00
    VAT @ 17.5{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}…………..£37.37
    A Grand Total of……….£250.93.

And that is why people get cross about the price of spares. Two components add up to more than the purchase cost of machine. It is worth considering that neither of these two components would cost The Indesit Company more than £15 at most. We accept that all manufacturers need to put a mark up on spares to cover storage and handling and the like, but this much?

So, disgruntled consumer will move away from Indesit and buy Creda. Or Hotpoint. Or Ariston. Or even Jackson. Which all come from……The Indesit Company.

You can still buy the WIL103 in the shops by the way.

    Re: D63 Indesit Dishwaser problems

Ok, assuming diagnosis is correct, drain pump is p/no C00090533, about £20 plus the dreaded VAT IIRC – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.com will get one promptly for you.

    Two things to consider:

Firstly, to fit the pump, all the panels have to come off – lid, sides, kick boards, cheek pieces – the lot. A masterpiece of designThen, you can get the undertray off………

Secondly, seeing as this is a Public Forum, let’s be polite and say that these are not the best quality appliances, do you really want to start spending on it at this early stage of its career?

Needless to say, if you are going further into the machine, pull the plug first :plug:

    Re: Hoover fills until bursting

    Hi.
Model number, or we’re all going to waste each others time.

The water level is controlled by the displacement of air in a bottle. Depending on your machine, you may be looking at this getting choked up; on the lated Hoover/Candy machines you will probably be looking at the air hose being chaffed through at some point around the drum.

Pull the plug before investigating further……… :plug:

    Penguin45.
