    No, it isn’t a spare part. Many have tried with odd off-cuts of hose and jubilee clips, most fail 🙁 .

    Your cooker is a Belling 864ST, made in Italy by Merloni. THIS ELEMENT is the specific one for your appliance.

    It is retained by two nuts on the rear of the casing, so back panel off for access.

    Power off as well.

    Take the side panel off amd observe – the water is probably coming from an “O” ring seal where the water matrix and the softener unit join together.

    Let’s be a little logical here. The first action on starting a programme is to run the drain pump, followed by fill, then circulation and ultimately, heat. Unless that you mean that you switch on and it goes bang?
