Not really – fill valves are either electrically open or mechanically shut. The shut very abruptly. Try turniong the pressure down a bit at the supply tap. Machine will fill a little more slowly, but there will be less “weight of water” slamming the valve shut.

Try 825170029 – seems to be the connector block used on other SUK61 machines.

C00195879 is listed for that serial number. Supercedes to C00266867 and C00266868 – no info that I can find to tell you which is the element and which is the overload……..

The operating thermostat is underneath, the safety stat is protruding through the side of the sump.

Age is the problem…… Not everything is available anymore.

Do the basics first – lid off, check whether or not the fan motor is actually running. No airflow = no heat as a starter. Beyond that, it’s power off and see if you have resistance through the dryer elements; also whether or not the safety stat has tripped out, using a test meter.

Use a hosting site. I use Photobucket.com – uploading is pretty intuitive if you follow their instructions.

Immediately, both discs on the front of the stats should be bowed outwards, ie convex to allow continuity through them.

55 kOhms at room temperature is acceptableish, you should get about 25 kOhms at 40c (Just warm it in your hand and wait….)

If the temperature sensor is out of range, the pcb should pick this up and show an error code (Constant flashing). The sensor itself is a notoriously fickle beast.

Check resistance through heater and connectors for burning. May be worth checking for broken wiring in the door at the hinge point.

    Stay safe, power off first.

Sounds like a pretty classic corruption issue to me. Better have a read of THIS.

    Re: Smeg DWD1SSE stops mid-cycle

I suspect that you may be too late – the pcb may already be corrupted.

Rinse cycle has no heat, so possibly something going on with the heater itself; they can leak to earth, causing interference.

Sorry, no straightforward answer to this one. As a professional repairer, I carry the basics for most SMEG dishwashers on the van, so even allowing for test meter results I can substitute parts to “prove” a diagnosis. This is an expensive option for the private repairer.

Temperature sensor is a reasonable bet – p/no 977870006. spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly. It’s clipped on next to the dispenser. It’s an NTC device, so connecting a test meter (set to the kOhm range) across the terminals and gently warming it should see the resistance falling. Worth checking the pcb for burnt tracks before shelling out on the sensor.

Stay safe, power off before working on the appliance.

Not quite – interference caused by earth leakage from a damaged heater may prevent the computer from turning the pump on.

3,4 + 8 R->L suggests 140, which is not any sort of recognised code.

Pull the plug and leave it for a while; then try the Diagnostics.

It’s a Servis – of course it’s the module. EMW is your cheapest option.
