Thermistor (temperature sensor) failure. It’s integral with the awful Indesit Bit100 pcb, so complete replacement required.
Several versions, will need serial number to identify exact part number.

No, it’s a process of elimination to identify which exact component is failing. You’ve obviously read the “5 LED” article, so mains suppressor, dispenser solenoid, motor capacitor and additionally heater are all possible suspects. If they all check out with damn near infinite earth readings, the pcb is the only component left – they do fail.

It’s a big organisation – the odd one is bound to slip through the net occasionally. It does not reflect on the individual repairer in anyway; more the support systems he has to work with.

The key word was “detected”….. The grid for the level switch in the sump will be full of congealed fat, stopping the diaphragm moving, or the microswitch on the outside will have failed.
