Slightly puzzled now, Anneka. If the motor is running, there should be water spraying around inside the machine

There is no heat on the rinse programme, that was just to protect the element. Did you pop the door and see if there was lots of water spraying about inside? Careful – get too close and you’ll get wet 😀 .

It’ll be seized on – Company engineers smash it and replace…… 😯

Good dose of penetrating fluid and leave it for a bit usually works if you’ve got the time to wait. Two screwdrivers behind to get it moving. Dont lose the drive dog in the keyway on the shaft.

Constant flashing is F1 – temperature sensor fault. You will almost certainly need one of THESE.

If your kitchen is exceptionally cold, the sensor is possibly out of range. Try pouring a pint of warm water into the sump a few minutes before setting the machine off.

Two types of pump fitted to this range.

The early type has the pump mounted sideways in the middle of the front chassis rail. Access is awkward, but the pump motor can be unscrewed with a bit of patience.

Late type is a twist fit on the back of the filter housing.

    Power off first, of course.

It’s a White Knight in a dress and is a complete and total evil cow to work on. To access the drain pump, the entire back panel must be removed, then the inner drum.

If you go onto http://www.bshcustomerservice.com and follow the links into Bosch spares, you can put your model number in and study the exploded diagrams of the machine and get an idea of what you’re up against.

    Good luck……

Try this again. If you set the machine to a spin programme only, the machine should pump and then spin. No water should be entering the machine during the spin sequence.

Put it on the Rinse cycle. After the fill sequence, apply no. 1 ear to the casing and listen. If you can hear a faint humming noise, there is power getting to the motor, but it isn’t running. It may be jammed, seized or the capacitor may have failed.

There is a locking latch which will need to be depressed. Forgot about that… 😳

You’ll probably have to remove the lower front cover panel to see properly.

Awkward rather than difficult. You need to get the rear lower panels off for access. The capacitor has a “uF” rating on it (4, from memory) and you’ll be able to match the value HERE.

    Power off first, obviously.

    Re: EOD533OX Electrolux double oven

No. There is a cooling fan (as opposed to the circulation fan in the main oven) mounted on top of the top oven, which is supposed to blow air out over the top of the top oven door and so cool the electronics in the control panel. This should start shortly after the ovens start to heat up. If you can’t feel a draught after 20 minutes, something is wrong.

1/ Moving the selector manually after the programme starts will cause the computer to advance the knob back to it’s last known programme position.

2/ To actually stop/change a programme setting, switch OFF, move the dial to a black or purple dot. Switch on, wait for the flicker from the LED, switch off and re-programme.

3/ Are you telling us that the machine continues filling regardless after the programme starts? If you set the programme to “spin” only, is it still filling?
