    THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT GUYS.THE SENSOR LOOKS NOTHING MORE THAN A FILLIAMENT.TWO WIRES GOING TO IT.I THINK I’LL ORDER THE THING ANYWAY!DONT KNOW HOW THEY CAN JUSTIFI THE RETAIL COST .THERES BU**ER ALL IN IT AND WHAT THERE IS DOES’NT SEEM ANY GOOD.

    THANKS FOR THE REPLY K. I DID CHANGE THE RESISTORS WHEN CHANING THE PCB.IT LOOKED TO ME AS IF THEY WERE TO DO WITH THE COOLING FAN SYSTEM?AS TO THE CUT OUT STAT I’M BLOWED IF I COULD FIND ANYTHING THAT RESEMBLED ONE.I ALSO THOUGHT SENSOR FAULT BUT IT LOOKED AS THE ONE SENSOR COVERED ALL AND THE PUNTER SAYS ITS COOKING OKAY?

    HI DAVE.THE MODEL NUMBER IS CORRECT.I HAD THIS PROBLEM WHEN ORDERING THE PART.IT IS THE SIDE BY SIDE TYPE AND I HAVE TRIED REMOVING THE HINGE COVER AND HAVE CHECKED ALL VISIBLE CONNECTIONS..MODEL SR61KTC SERIAL NUMBER,41AR600082X.

    Model is wqp63.it not quite a full size but bigger than a table top.Like nothing of seen before.Certainly not mfi.

    For your information,
    This machine was only 18 months old!
    I went back to this and found the loom sliced right through.It seems that Baumatic (smeg) think its a great design feature to make the door skin sharper than a razor blade and the loom cover thinner than Bobby Charltons hair!

    Dave, 5 stars to you! my 8596p with E3 was dry joints and lifted tracks on the board, a few bits of fuse wire later…. hey presto, all is fine.

    Cheers Dave, i will check the board for dry joints tonight, it’s my bloody fridge-freezer!!
    On the FF71n is there a reason why the air duct should ice up? i’m guessing there must be a flap to control the amount of air up to the fridge?
