Re: Siemens Washing M/C Heating Problem?

The fault is caused by the pressure switch or electrical interference to the pressure switch [a microwave above the appliance would do it]

A new pressure switch should sort it

    Re: Bosch Dishwasher Recall

And whilst I have seen some very badly burnt and distorted boards, the extreme cases are usually on built in machines with badly fitted doors that allow moisture to form on the edge connectors and loom and therefore cause a short, this would not be limited to BSH products, rather anything with an ingress of steam / moisture to live components, this is clearly not the issue with the recall as they are only replacing the pcb’s

Thats another problem all together. nothing to do with the recall

Blown Triac on the pcb without a doubt. Going to be caused by? Dispenser coil or water point motor i’d say

The main board that fixes to the bracing bar across the top is usually the one that fails. Can give very strange faults as well.
These models have manufacturer 10year gt?

Will be the invertor pcb. easy to spot as it has a massive heat sink on it and the solder joints look like a two year 0ld child has done them in the dark!!

I’m with Wizard on this one. Just changing the pcb is going to be an expensive mistake me thinks

Probably both! Just because the mag meggars OK does not mean it good. Check installation/ ventilation.
Mag usually over heats and blows inverter pcb. Assume internal fuse is ok?

Its a changed part and yes some times you get old and new and there’s no cut out to allow the handle to move. Basically old stock I’d say.
    Glad you sussed it

If you have no spray arms rotating I’d say there is something in the wash motor impeller.
You can turn the diverter manually to prove a point. Its a bit fiddly but if you remove the bottom spray arm and peer into the hole you can persuade it to turn using the end of a screwdriver

I’d agree they have put detergent in the salt pot. We use to use a chemical which would show up purple if ther was detergent present but cant think what is was at the moment
