    Re: Bosch KGN34V00 GB06

Thanks Paul. I had this one stripped out today and nearly died of fright. Poor young lady bought it in August 2007, had a visit out in April 2008 by an engineer from a Large electrical retailer who said it needed 4 things. PCB, Plate, Mod Kit for the drain hole and fan.
Came back to it and only fitted the fan.
Return visit shortly before Warranty expires and customer informed to just defrost.
3 years later she calls retailer on a chargeable job and the Engineer writes on the Job sheet that her FF needs the other 3 parts……mmmmmmm???? I, as I said stripped it out and there were no other parts fitted. Should they be the same parts as per KGN33?

AEG Lavamat L74850M No motor action…

Thanks Martin, I sieved through some other threads and worked out how to do diagnostic. One thing I didn’t mention was the drain pump operates on all functions. No fill, nothing. Done diagnostic and got E69, I didn’t have a spare heater so I kept the original one on and fitted the connections to a spare Hotpoint one I had. Filled, agitated, spun and drained. Happy days. Still, any technical info would be appreciated anyone! 🙂

Would have to agree with Muv here. Very common on the Beko for the motor to go faulty in this way, also tripping electrics. Had one myself this week. Changed the whole armature and worked a treat.

Same thing’s happened to me today. Machine accepts program, drains, defaults to program setting and door lock flashes. Meggered The heater and it’s at 25Mohm, removed heater from circuit and it works fine until I can get the parts!! Cheers, Chris

    Sick

Happened in Dukinfield, Cheshire a couple of years back. Funding a drug habit, they even peeled the lead of people’s roofs and the local Churches. Disgusting

Estate agents asking for 30 days invoice

It all depends on the letting agent, I’m hiring myself out to around 10 and they all have a maintenance fund. 30 days is ample as sometimes I’m paid a day or a week after doing a job. Other times it goes right up to the wire but I always get paid.

    Hi Stuart,
I think you’ll find that the problem is with the element in the Heater box and if you’re not electrical minded I’d recommend giving a trusted engineer a call. Try unplugging the machine and removing the lid. You’ll see the heater box on top with the terminals coming out. If they are close together just try wiggling them back and forward together if they do, then the weld has failed on the bracket resulting in the element going to earth. Replace element should do the trick, but you’ll need special screwdriver bits to complete.

I’m moving to Dalkeith in the next 4-8 weeks. Heard of one in the area in the name of Dave Lightheart. Looked after my sisters machine in the past.
