safety first, pauls mate might have a go himself. if its a drop down door it just makes it easier. HTH

TURN THE COOKER POWER SUPPLY OFF BEFORE YOU DO ANY THING. 😉
you will find it easier to remove the door to get to the 4 screws and remove and replace the element. 😉

brian, this one hasn’t got a slot but by turning the motor by the fins it only moves reluctantly, so it looks like something in there. question, how do you get the motor out to change it? i did a bosch d/w some while ago and i turned it upside down and lifted the whole plastic base. is this the way in or is there a more straightforward method?

if you find the matrix is bunged up it is very unlikely that you will be able to clesr it then you have to replace it.

as above,,,UNPLUG,,,top off, right hand side find round pressure switch, black tube leading towards bottom of machine feel spongy rings if wet or just damp then there is a hole or holes in the rubber tube…REPLACE.

bunged up it might be…some of the bosch d/w have a matrix on the left hand side which controls the water flow in. it means taking the left side panel off , but to do this you have to take the top off.UNPLUG!!!!! BEFORE YOU START. IF the d/w has been well used ..you don’t say how old it is…food waste can block the inlet matrix( sometimes called the measuring tank) and a intermittant fault caused by a low level of water will give the symptoms you describe…best of luck

UN PLUG… pull machine out. then it’s easier if you can tip machine forward, balance it carefully or have someone to support it. remove back cover and all will be revealed. 🙂
