silverbroomYes it’s here:
http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … highlight=Just to set the record straight I’m not from BLI Services. BLI Services was one of the businesses I supplied the system to a number of years ago and I sent you and a few other people their paperwork as an example of what it does. I am in the process of chasing my software – writing friend up about where we’re up to with preparation of the demo disc, but she can’t give up the day job yet!

Back out on the road now in my best ‘Roly 16’ attire. At least my pins are nicely tanned from my recent holiday, any grease marks wont show up as much. 😆
Jim.
So are mine 😆 I’m glad to see that my uniform is catching on. Looking forward to seeing your version at the September meeting Jim 😯

OK Guys,
Over the next couple of days I will email those of you who have expressed an interest a leaflet and examples of the job sheets and invoices that it produces.During the next few days Dee is going to look at how it can be improved in a few respects while still keeping it simple;
1) Changing it so that it doesn’t need Microsoft Access installed to run, as some of you may not have it and would otherwise have to buy it.
2) Splitting the programme from the customer data so that it can be updated much easier and without you having to send us your customer database when future alterations are done.
3) Re-arranging the demo version so it works better and putting it on cds instead of floppies, so you can try it out and see if it’s what you want.Bill, see pm about your updates.

Hi Bill,
My friend has done them, and I’m hoping she’s going to install them on my system shortly. I’m hoping to speak to her later today or tomorrow about doing yours and the interest expressed by the others.

Hi Steve,
Gosh; interest in it after all these years 😯 . This is more or less what I wrote to Bagman in a pm which seems to have got stuck in my outbox:
If you let me have your email address I’ll send you a leaflet, the call log sheet that the system produces and a sample couple of invoices . I’ve also got a demo floppy disc that let you enter about 6 customers and print off the paperwork to see how it works, but i think they’ll need to be re-done so they work easier and put on cds now instead of floppies. A young computer studies student designed it 10 years ago but it still works well. He’s long gone onto other things but another friend has been updating mine but hasn’t installed the updates yet, apart from the VAT rate which had to be made variable quickly in December.
I’ll have to speak to her about re-doing the demo disc and how much we would sell it for now but I’d guess at between £100 and £200 as a one-off. If we could market it in some way on UKW and get a number of people interested the price would probably come down. The original intention 10 yrs ago was to market it and try and sell it widely in the industry but we never had the facilities to do that and only ever sold two, one to Bill Ellis in Scotland and one to BLI Service in Shrewsbury. It was hard to get it publicised in those days [without dedicated salesmen].
It works on Microsoft Access.
It doesn’t do stock control BTW.I’ll need a few days to find and collate everything and speak to my software friend about the feasibility of resurrecting it for selling.

This model is Haier, not Whirlpool.

PS: why the screw that holds the drain pump to the sump is fitted the wrong way round ill never figure out.
S.
Yes I’ve often wondered that 😯 ; I sometimes put it back the other way round and sometimes the way it came out. It doesn’t matter though as it’s only there to stop the pump rotating, not to clamp the two surfaces together.

ParticipantRe: CDA dishwasher cw495
Don’t think you need them [the slim ones] for the heater Simon; only for the circ pump on the Whirlpool built ones.

Why don’t you just fit a 175degree thermal fuse instead?

ParticipantRe: CDA dishwasher cw495
IIRC you can just about do this from the rhs and don’t have to remove the base, which is a pain on these machines. It’s not difficult to change. Check the motor wiring connector block isn’t lying on the base while you’ve got it apart.
