I had one this week not draining,I took the clear hose off the side tank it still would not drain into a bowl.
I pushed a cable tie from the pump into the clear hose and that looked ok, but when I put water in the sump and tried again a lump of rice shot into the bowl.
Just another thought is the replacement pump the correct part.

    Re: bosch lower spray arm

You do not have to be brave and if you tell the customer what you are going to do i dont see a problem. I have changed heater boxes before
but if the customer does not want to spend much on the machine it can save another machine from the scrap,
All you get is water going to top & bottom arms at the same time.

    Re: bosch lower spray arm

If you remove the top arm feed pipe & check the diverter disc with a long terminal screwdriver,if its tight you can drill a hole in the disc through the front hole.If you unclip the valve cover you can then unplug the diverter motor just in case it starts turning again,i have done this a few times & the dishwashers have worked fine also customer might not want to go to the expense of a new heater box.

    Re: bosch lower spray arm

Is there any water coming out the lower spray arm, if there is I have had faulty arms that look ok but work fine when replaced.
Also check the water level, diverter disc position and pump pressure
