Re: Neff oven B1442N0GB/10 Tripping RCD

The oven switch may be faulty but it is hard to tell without testing.

The only way to get a accurate temperature for the fridge is to get the temperature of the product.

You need to leave a cup of water in the fridge for 24 hours then take the temperature of the water.

You also need an electronic thermometer that has been calibrated as accurate.

It is most likely the compressor faulty or low on gas.

Not a cheap or DIY repair.

Perhaps Whirlpool / Hotpoint should start using the Arther Brown record on there Tumble Dryer Adverts.

Perhaps we are in the wrong business.

Cardboard box’s might be the next big thing.

Or maybe we could trade up like the man with the one red paper clip who traded up to a house.

Perhaps it was sold to a homeless guy who wanted a better box.

Lots of suckers about then Martin, I wonder who got sucked in to bid for an empty box.

I wonder if there will be a dust up when they receive an empty box.

Lots of ads like that on e-bay you got to read the small print.

    Cheers

The main PCB will be faulty not an expensive part as Beko are cheap for spares compared with most makes.

    Re: Samsung fridge freezer explodes!

Mercedes are refusing to use R600a in the air conditioning as they say if it leaked in to a modern car passenger area it could explode if some one lite a cigarette or an accident happened, this could also cause the fuel to explode.

It will be interesting to see how they get on by refusing to follow the rules.

It will also cause problems when repairers will no longer be able to use R134a in the near future.

    Re: Samsung fridge freezer explodes!

R600a systems are not covered by F Gas rules if it is a factory sealed system.

If it has been repaired and gas is in the appliance then it is covered by F Gas rules as you cannot know without testing if it has been recharged with R600a.

If it has been repaired before and no gas is in the system then you can repair it as there is no gas in it.

    Strange rules.

If a leak is not detected and you Regas it and it has an internal leak then you risk blowing the bloody doors off.

As Brian said earlier this was a known fault on some Samsung models and also a few other makes of earlier R600a fridge freezers.
Some Iceland Kyoto models the light switch triggered blowing the doors off if they had an internal leak.

If you carry more than three small cylinders on the van then you need to display flammable gas stickers on the van this includes all flammable gas small cylinders.

Large cylinders you always need to display the stickers on the van.

The amount of electrical items in the home all have a risk to them but percentage wise with the millions of items in use then it’s very low just more publicity now a days

    Re: Samsung fridge freezer explodes!

That is the problem of R600a in fridges.

Always a risk with internal leaks.

That is why Mercedes are refusing to change from 134a to R600a as they have been told to do by the EU.

    Re: Bosch freezer in alarm

If it runs for a short time it is unlikely to be a capacitor or a start relay as it would not run at all if one of them had failed.

    Re: Bosch freezer in alarm

If the compressor only runs for a few seconds and clicks off it will be a faulty Compressor.

Not a cheap or DIY job.
