    Re: Samsung RS21

At the age of your RS21 it will need a new fridge evaporator cover.

If it has iced up again after one week you may also have a heater fault.

If you do not know how to test the heater, sensor , and thermal cut out then I would just replace the cover first to see if it cures the fault.

If the problem then returns you can by a complete fridge evaporator and swop the heater, the defrost sensor and Thermal cut out from the new evaporator to your evaporator in your fridge.

I would suggest it is best to have an engineer to fit the heater etc as if you damage the evapoator it would require a Regas and more expense.

You can purchase the Cover from the WTA Shop or Brian R600a FFR services you can PM him from this site.

Have you got enough ventilation around the cabinet as this could cause it to overheat.

Yes it is over a month now for payments perhaps Ian can have a word to get it back to 14 Days as agreed.

Perhaps it may be worth discussing at the WTA Meeting.

As previous post yes it evaporates the water with the heat from the compressor.

As in my earlier post drain channel, drain hole and pipe leading to a tray on the compressor.

Re: Turning a freezer into a fridge

in most cases this will not work as a fridge goes into defrost mode each time the stat turns off.

The water then runs down a drain tube to evaporate on the tray on top off the compressor.

If it is a frost free freezer this will also not work as the defrost system is set to work at set temperatures.

It would not cause any problem with the compressor but would flood the floor each time the stat cuts out.

You are also missing the mains cable.

You need to test the compressor first to make sure it is ok.

I would still return it to the seller if you purchased it from a retailer.

    Re: Samsung RSH72NBP Service manual

Are you sure you have the correct model number it is normally RSH7 followed by four letters.

Samsung sometimes only allow older model service manuals and only give agents access to the manuals.

The RSH7 models have inverter compressors on them what info did you require do you have a fault code showing
