    Re: oven removing table

I have an ex mfi designed table it is perfect as it has adjustment for all kitchen instalation heights.

It may be worth contacting AWS to see if they sell them.

    Re: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?

The same thing happened when MFI failed.
Businesses fail it took a long time to sort out any form of warranty for any MFI products.

It is unfortunate but now you cannot guarantee any company you buy from is going to be there next week or next year who thought Comet, MFI, Woolworth just to name a few would disappear .

A few years ago Rover purchasers lost a lot more than a washing machine and purchasers of Kitchens from MFI never received any kitchens or appliances.

At least you stil have a working washing machine.

I have no links to ISE but running any business involves risk and can sometimes despite good intentions fail.

That is the reason I always make purchases using a credit card then you have some protection from the card company’s .

When you purchase something from a business you take a chance the business will still be trading for a few years to come.

I myself lost £12,500 pounds in unpaid waranty repair work for MFI but you just have to put it down to experance.

You just have to except it and hope you have better luck in the future it will make you feel better as if you dwell on it it only leads to unhappiness .

Happy Christmas and good luck for the new year.

    Re: Admiral fridge freezer

This sounds like the compressor has seized.

If you take off the rear panel at the bottom the compressor will be hot to touch.

If the compressor is hot then it has seized not a cheap repair or DIY job.

    Re: Customer warranties on repairs

I had a customer phone me to say his cooker has gone wrong again.

He said you repaired it 4 years ago when I checked it was nearly 5 years.

He said it is the same fault as last time do you think it is linked to the repair you done last time and if it is can you repair it under warranty.

I advised him I give a years warranty this is more than a manufacturers repair would give him as most only cover for three months.

He then said if that is your attitude then I will get someone else to repair it who will warranty there work. Before I could reply he slammed the phone down on me.

Another satisfied customer I wish him luck on finding someone to warranty a cooker repair for 5 years on a cooker that is now according to my records nearly 19 years old now.

    Happy Christmas to him.

Get on to the Landlord or estate agent to get someone to repair it if it is not your oven.

If you try to repair it yourself the Landlord may hold you responsible.

If the fan is working I would still think it would be an element fault.

If you have power to the wires to the element then it can only be an element fault.

It’s a frost free fridge freezer made by Beko.

Most likely iced up with a defrost system fault.

It may be the fan itself.

It is rare to get PCB faults on a Samsung.

If it does not show a fault code you will also need to check the inverter PCB to see if is showing a fault this has a neon light that flashes and it depends on how many times it flashes to indicate the fault.

The panel on the back does give a lot of info to help.

But if it does not return any faults you have to check manually to find out the problem.

On the back of the fridge freezer it has a large sticker and it tells you how to put it in test mode to show a fault code.

If it does not return a fault code then it may be a refrigerant problem.

You can also check to see if it is iced up in the freezer.

If you are not familiar with Samsung American fridge freezers then I would decline the job as you could cause yourself more problems than it is worth.

This model has an inverter compressor and multiple PCB’s so unless you know the models and problems connected to Samsung and different models you could struggle with this one.

If you go to it and get stuck but find out what you think is wrong or what is happening after putting it in test mode PM me for advice.

This model is not as simple as the RS21 or RSH1 due to the inverter compressor system.
