Connect part number 5045176591520 it has a picture so you can look to check this is the part you want.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint RLAV21 constantly running
It will be colder at the back as this is where the cooling takes place.
It do sound like it is a compressor or refrigerant fault.
If it is running continuous the back panel inside should be iced up all over.
If it is just cold then it will be the refrigerant or compressor.

ParticipantRe: s/sung RS21DCNS fridge fan runs for 3 secs
The fan only works with the door closed or the light switch pressed in.
make sure the freezer door is closed, Open the fridge door.
Press the light switch and hold it, after about thirty seconds the freezer fan starts then a few seconds later the fridge fan should cut in.
Keep hold of the switch and see if the fan works ok.

It could be low on refrigerant or the compressor is worn not pumping correctly.
The refrigerant would not be cooling near the thermostat to turn it off.
It is unlikely to be a Thermostat fault if it is running continuous
I have checked your model and it has no external fan so this would not be the fault.
You can also check the light inside is turning off as this can make a fridge run continuous if it stays on.
A good way to check the internal light is with a phone camera on vidio put it in the fridge close the door leave it for a few seconds take the phone out and check the vidio to see if the light turned off.

If you get stuck the local garage who repairs car air conditioning may buy the R134a

Yes and most car owners with Air Conditioning as nearly all cars use R134a in the air conditioning.

You are ok this year but next year R134a and 49 you will no longer be able to use.
You Also have to be F Gas registered to use it.

ParticipantRe: Maytag RCD problem
Hi from Bob
The heater for your model is now obsolete.
The good news is the heater on your link is a direct replacement and will fit.

ParticipantRe: Maytag RCD problem
On your model if it trips every 5 to 7 Hours then it is most likely the defrost heater.
It is best for an engineer to fit as they are not cheap and if you are not carefull you can damage the evaporator fitting it.
Also an engineer can sort out your Icemaker fault at the same time.
Try the find an engineer on this site.

ParticipantRe: Beko AB910S American style Fridge Freezer problem
You may have a compressor or refrigerant fault on this one.
It may be cheaper to search the find me an engineer on this site to check it out before ordering parts.
The fan only works when the evaporator starts to get cold so if you can get the fan to run it is not a fan fault.
If the PCB is faulty then nothing works.
So it do sound like it may be the compressor or gas and this is not a DIY repair.

The 2 most common faults with this model is the freezer fan motor at the top behind the top cover in the freezer compartment.
Or the main PCB.
If the appliance does not run or make a noise it is normaly the PCB.
Is it starts up check the fan is running inside the freezer by pressing in the door switch in the freezer compartment. Make sure the door is closed on the fridge when you do this.
I have only found one with the fan motor and PCB Faulty.
Most are fan or main PCB faulty.

ParticipantRe: Freezer box ice problem
You would still need to turn it off before defrosting it.
It should have a thermostat control on it somewhere inside.
If you use a hair dryer and it is not turned off you will increase the pressure in the system and you could blow the seals in the compressor.
Do not use any thing to chip away the ice as you could puncture the evaporator and then the fridge would be beyond economical repair.
It would be best just to turn the thermostat control if you can find it to zero / 0 to turn it off or a mains switch to turn the power off, empty the fridge and icebox and let it defrost with the doors open.
Make sure you have towels down and put a washing up bowl in the fridge to soak up the water.

Most likely a fan oven element faulty.
