Re: Indesit FV10KB(IX)GB electric oven has no power

If the oven was dead no power at all.

It may be getting to hot and cutting out on the NTC. / thermal cut out.

This may be a cooling fan fault.

Re: Samsung RSH7UNMH not making ice

The water may be frozen in the feed pipe may be a feed pipe heater faulty.

Or it may be the water solinoid faulty.

Disconnect the white water feed to the ice maker feed pipe at the back of the appliance.

If you then put the end in a bucket or washing up bowl then press the test button if the water comes out of the white pipe you will know it is the feed pipe in the freezer blocked with ice.

You could also phone Samsung to see if they will cover a free call out as it is not very old and it may be a ice maker or PCB fault.

Re: Samsung RS21 – another thread re frosting

The insulation on the evaporator cover breaks down and the insulation gets wet and allows the fan to seize.

If it is soft frost all over the evaporator then you have a defrost fault.

If it is frost and ice it is most likely the cover needs replacing they seam to last 2 to 3 years.

    Thanks Lawrence

If Jason is coming to the meeting then I can speak to him then.

Yes I am interested in giving my full support if it is just the Warenty work.

    Re: First4Service/TEJ/VHA/WarrantySolutions.Co.Uk

I have had both e-mails returned undelivered to Jason@firstforservice.
One was a reply to the e-mail he sent out.

I do not think this would impress the Dragons on Dragons Den.

Will he be just doing the Warenty work or once he has the backing of the WTA members
As agents do he intend on doing an 0800 repairs and try and target the chargeable work.

At the moment the bigger work suppliers find it difficult to get cover in my area so I do really well on chargeable calls.

I would not like to give my support if this is the intention as why would I want to increase the competition in my area for chargeable work.

Why would I want to do the chargeable work for less and have to wait for the money when I get more money and paid on the visit.

If it is just Warenty work then I would be happy to support him.

With a name like First4service this sounds like he may be Trying to start up a 0800 / JTM type service and needs the agents to get it off the ground.

This would be the last thing we need is another 0800/JTM even though the public are beginning to move away from this type of service.

Just something for everybody to think of before committing themselves.

I assume you mean a thermostat as no thermometer fitted to this appliance.

You have to remove the fridge from under the work top if you pull it out about 6 inches you will see a cover over the thermostat box.

Warning make sure the mains power is switched off before removing the cover.

I think the WTA is great value for money and feel it adds to any Whitegoods repairer’s business to be able to say they are a member of the WTA

The information you get from this site helps to keep you updated on what is happening in the trade.
