Samsung did make a mod kit it was just a small U shaped clip you had to super glue on.

It was never very successful and the only way to repair it was a new freezer door.

I have had better success with an electrical cable clip you can supper glue the clip on and also use a small screw to give it extra strength.

If you need the mod try Brian R600a to see if he has any left as I do not think they are available now.

Under the F GAS rules mid 2013 you will not be able to purchase R134A

In mid 2015 it will no longer be legal to use R134A

I wonder What refrigerant will be used as R600a may not be a good choice with the heat involved

It would not program as it would have a different jazz number on the board.

When the pcb has been programmed you cannot reset it.

If it excepted 20 and it is running I would not worry.

Normaly if you have a new pcb with a different jazz number and it will not program you have 2 default codes depending if it is a higher or lower number.

If 20 worked ok it should run ok as it will not except a wrong code.

The fault will be the main pcb.
You will need a new pcb fitted.

No that is an incorrect part. Phone AWS as this would be your cheapest option and tell them the model number eg APM6855/0 or APM6855/1 .

Ask for a no frost evaporator sensor and they will supply you with there part number.

I have repaired hundreds and never had a heater fail.

I am sure you will only need the sensor.

A.W.S. will be cheaper for the part

    I just received your PM

If you open the doors the fan stops you need a magnet to test the fan.

In the freezer on the right hand side you will see a small cover near the middle baskets.

With the fridge door closed and the freezer door open put the magnet near the cover to check the fan if the compressor is running the fan sould work.

If the fan is not working it will be the fan or sensor faulty.

If the fan is ok and it is icing up it will be the no frost evaporator sensor faulty.

The link answer is for a different fault, display fault is for the icemaker.

The wire’s on the ice maker sensor under the ice tray will be broken.

You can sometimes solder them together but it is better to replace the sensor or icemaker.

Re: Hoover HFA29K fridge too cold

If you turn the control knob to zero and the fridge continues to run the pcb will be faulty.

If the fridge cuts out on zero the the sensor will be the fault.

The sensor is foamed in and is not advisable to replace it as you have to re-insulate the back of the fridge and even if you do a good job any air leak will lead to ice building up on the outside of the fridge.

It will be a water precooling tank leaking it is fitted behind the veg containers.
It will need a new tank as it will be split on the seam.
