Yes this is a pcb fault.

You need a new pcb the pcb comes with the details how to program it to the appliance.

Sometimes if it will not program you need the jazz number on the old pcb and the jazz number on the new pcb and then I can give you a default code.

No need to dismantle the door or any part of the fridge.
I
Just unscrew the screws on the fixing plate at the top and check on the sides to make sure no more screws are screwed in to the wood cabinets.

Remove the plinth on the bottom of the kitchen slide the fridge out about six inches to get at the thermostat cover.

Go carefully pulling out the fridge slowly an inch at a time so you do not break the plastic legs.

You can adjust the legs if the fridge is to tight to the work top.

Make sure you turn off the power before removing and refitting the fridge or working on the thermostat.

To remove the cover to the stat you need two flat screwdrivers in the slots on the cover to lever it up.

If it is not making any noise then it will need a new thermostat.

You will need to pull the fridge out from under the work top by about 6 inches.

The thermostat is under the small cover on top of the fridge.

Make sure you disconnect the power before removing the cover.

I filled out the registration form when it was first posted.

I have not received the e-mail ticket so I have re registered.

I have put in the notes on the form for the hotel booking as I booked with the hotel a few months ago so no need to reserve another room.

I will need more information to be able to advise on the fault.

Is the compressor motor hot and not making a noise.

Is the compressor hot but making a noise.

If the compressor is hot and not making a noise the compressor will need replacing and a regas.

If the compressor is hot but still running then it may have a leak and the leak would need repairing and a regas.

If the compressor is cold and not running it may be a PCB/Module Fault all the above faults are not cheap to repair and as this is now an old model it maybe cheeper to replace.

If the water leaked on to the fridge / freezer it may have blown the PCB / MODULE and you will need to fit a new module.

This model is made by Maytag. The most likly fault is the

PCB/MODULE faulty.

Try opening the fridge door leave it open and see if the compressor runs OK.

If the compressor and compressor fan runs OK with the door open then it is a PCB/MODULE Fault.

When ordering a new pcb/module you need to quoite the JAZZ number on the module as you have to program the module.

The modules come with the instructions how to program but if it is not the same jazz number the module will not except the code on the fridge rating plate.

If the jazz number is not the same then it will not work without a default code this depends on the jazz board number

If you order a PCB and fit it and find the code on the fridge
will not program post the jazz number on the old pcb and the jazz number from the new pcb and I can give you the code you will need as the fridge will not work until programed.
