UPDATE. Sussed the bugger! Combination fault between the pcb ( ££ ouch! )and a faulty fan and an unconnected fault with the solenoid dryer valve just o/circuit coil.I don`t half get em!! Still up and running now though cost customer dear but it is an expensive machine being built in.

thanks madangler read your old post- yep testing these machines without clothes in the machine swt`s off the pump, no water sensed by p/swt = no pump out once machine is empty……who would have thought, it did not occur to me that is for sure.

Hi Martin. Yes the obvious culprits and you are right. She swears blindly that she does not o/load the machine. Though she is a tenant and openly wants a new machine. An impossible position for me to be in really. Is the fuse rating right, do you know this by any chance?

    Re: bosch washer dryer wvt13240gb/01

Found out whats being happening. I replaced the thermistor, o/load stat, and the 3 way valve- the dryer valve solenoid was o/circ , the other two parts are cheap so why not just in case! I then tested the heap from last rinse, into spin having pre set dryer to come on for 50 mins. What actually happens is: after the spin cycle has finished and it goes on to dyer cycle there is a delay of up to 1.5 minutes SOMETIMES until the fan starts up, meanwhile the element is already on getting hot and so trips out the o/load stat = no heat, then the fan decides to come on- of course would`ve been ok if it was t`other way round but we can`t have that can we, far too easy! Its not the fan itself at fault as there`s no neutral so in that case it is a board fault. Deep down in my little heart I suspected a weirdo fault….Bu**er!! Anyone else ever had this please; I need a bit of support.

Thanks eastlmark for helping me. No mention of F11 or any fault codes coming up. Did ask her if she or her hubby does not cheat the drying cycle as a thought that occurred to me- no they don`t, they let it run to the end. I changed one solenoid coil only of the 3 in line valve which I robbed off a spare zanussi valve, not the whole valve, just the solenoid that was o/circ and split…… this works and now lets in water on t/dry. Why? Is there some sort of weirdo back feed that mucks up the pcb if you do do this or not letting in enough h2o because the coil only partly opens the valve, one of the other solenoids has the same resistance as the zanussi coil I used…..please explain as cannot see how this would make the 4 tag o/load stst pop out and become o/circ to power to element- I`m obviously missing something. Reading your past posts, which are excellent by the way, you know a great deal on these/ Bosche machines.

Update: well we will never know what the solution was as the machine got scrapped- he bought a Hotpoint from Argos; he could`ve done worse of course!! Think, myself, it was the pcb rather than the tacho but just a guess.

    Re: Samsung Washing Machine

You don`t give a model number. So I`m guessing only.
I presume that the drum does not go round on wash as well as spin? If it is has a belt I would turn the power off remove the back panel as it sounds like, from what you say, that the belt has either stripped and wrapped around the motor pulley allowing the motor to still work but as it works the stringy bits of the belt are flaying on the chassis with the high revolutions of the motor making the noise but not showing up on a wash as the motor t`aint going very fast OR the belt is still attached but stringing. At 2 years old I doubt it is anything else unless you`ve got a beltless model, i.e. a Samsung with a rotor motor similar to an LG machine. Have a look. Most Samsung belts are 1270 J5 lengths since there may be very little of yours left to read off, but check it out based on your model number if you have to order one.

    Re: Samsung J14535 – Error 4E

Quite often, as previously mentioned, the 4 E fault code can be a hole/split in the pressure swt`s hose. They usually split at the connection to the pressure swt`s little nozzle and are difficult to see the tiny split. As a further note these pressure swt`s when blown into do not make your usual switch clicking noise and require a great deal of pressure to make them work so do not be misled if you blow in to one and hear nothing and then think the actual swt is at fault. If you were to connect a spare piece of hose to one of these pressure switches and blow in to one as it was filling, as a test, make sure that there is sufficient water in before ye blow as they often will throw up another fault code OB which in itself is misleading as this signifies an over flow problem and not a under fill problem as per your test; but there you go!! Based on Samsung model J1253 but applies to most of the Samsungs I`ve seen.

    Re: INDESIT W!DL126 Flashing lights 1,2 & 4

Usually the tumble dryer ntc (electronic thermostat/thermistor) gone u/s but it can also be the fan seized. No easy way to test the ntc whether the dryer one as this fault code points to or the wash ntc either ( lights 3 and 4 only flashing for the wash thermistor)check all the wires as you have suggested. Dryer ntc wires I have had them break so check these.

Some L5`s were hot and cold fill…..L5 V and the rarer L 8. Haven`t worked on one for 15 years. The 610 and Hirundo look a like used to suffer from blown timers but it is true that they were not too bad a machine.

Yes a good point Jem and thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I`m going back on Tuesday and will experiment with the damn thing. Don`t think at this stage I want to go down the pcb route though it may well be this; think I kept a spare motor I can rob a tacho coil from to try it out. I`ll let you know how I fair.

Re: AEG Washer Dryer L75480WD smells of gasoline

Best of luck with this. Let us all know. Another thought concerning the door seal you might want to ask AEG before they come out is if the door seal is impregnated with an anti bacteria film……………I know some Haier washing machines door seals are and may be if it is the same on your AEG perhaps that`s the answer. Try to ask the question to the person you speak to and get their full name just in case they, if they come out, try to sting you for a call out charge on as no fault found, What! Surely the trade is not that bad? It can be!
