    Hi Stuart,
I got one of those letters to-day, I get one or two a year from them and they go straight in the bin. Once you read the posts you will know why.

    Hi funkyboogie,

I too thought of buying one of those multicrew vans for the same reason as you until my accountant told me that Mr Tax Inspector would want to confirm that it was used soley for staff and business use which in both our cases it would not.

Check out the tax implications that start 6th April 2007 cars/vans that are used for private use can cost you up to £3000 per year in extra benefit tax plus not forgetting private petrol use, as we say in Scotland “ca canny with this idea”.

That’s correct same procedure as a Bosch, front panel off etc, good tip from Cab, or if the man of the house is about ask him to help with rear retaining spring have done this before and generally they are standing watching you anyway.

    Re: Polaris Twin tub????

    Hello Jim

I think that one is Chinese, a customer of mine has one thinks it’s great.

Notice no wheels like the old twin tubs so customer asked if I could fit them, got four from local hardware store and fitted wheels to the four feet as per your picture.

Keep in mind no heater in this model.

    Re: Samsung Refrigeration Training

Hi, Regarding Samsung training in Scotland, last summer a chap from Samsung called asking if I would do an under guarantee washing machine repair for them.

Told him my charge which was OK, on contacting customer they told me they had been waiting six weeks for an engineer, anyway got it all sorted and eventually got paid.

Some weeks later they rang again could I attend to another, yep no problem says I where is it, he then starts to give me an address for an island (Tiree) off the west cost of Scotland this would be a three day trip, one there, one to do job and one back, told him he would be cheaper supplying another machine or contacting a repairer in Inverness.

I suspect he thought Scotland must be the size of, say London, as at that time they did not seem to have engineers covering Scotland, think they have agents now tho.

    Hi Paul

I phoned SEME this morning about 8:45am got through within a couple of rings no bother, did have trouble the other day I think the web site was down for maintenance so the phones would have been busy, it is frustrating tho.

    Re: Hygena Cooker Hood APP2540

    Hi Alan,

If this is the 5 push button type pcb switch then if it can’t be supplied through UKW spares contact Hygena spares direct Ph number 08457 959722.

Have fitted two in recent months due to on/off switch failure, cost is around £30, keep in mind that this is a soldering job not plug n play so charge in proportion to time spent.

    Victor.
