ParticipantRe: WTA’s Alleged 0800 Repair Involvement
I have followed this thread on and of, but sorry I am to busy trying to make a living in this trade to get sucked in to this 0800 affair. Oops I just have 😯
It is really really great that on this forum contributors can reply and input what they feel regarding posts and lets hope this can continue.
Sorry, but I am not very good at explaining myself, and I just don’t feel qualified to contribute. and I just have, but let’s calm down. Some of the comments have been constructive and others really rather rude, sad. I for one very much enjoy what I do, at present I do not have an 0800 operation in my area, but I do have other competition. Sorry once again , I think what I am trying to say is let’s just concentrate on giving our customers a great service and good value as independant providers, if someone else comes into your area then it is up to YOU to keep your custom. It is easy to sell (repair) someone something once but to repeat that sale (repair)is what we should be about.

Hi rocker, does the spring not clip on to the small bracket then the bracket is located on to the various hight slots near the top front of the d/w body?.

ParticipantRe: Connect deliveries
As far as I am aware they have sub contracted delivery to out lying areas (not profitable). I did have a problem at first re not leaving parcels and was told by one lady they can’t do that anymore then phoned next day and spoke to someone else who said it was OK. Only problem now is next day delivery is next next day delivery.

Just for future ref,if you come across the above machine needing carbons then it is a complete motor job. I carry a good selection of carbons but no joy in swapping outer, inner casings. Thanks for the above advice which I checked out but no joy.

Just had a letter back from Screwfix, they said they regret to inform me that they are not actually a dating agency.

The grim reaper visited me last night but I managed to fight him off with the vacuum cleaner which was close by. Talk about dyson with death.

ParticipantRe: Scam or not
Like Martin, I to get a call once or twice a year from a guy by the name of Lloyd calling on behalf of the local police magazine. As soon as I ask for a copy of the magazine or sample of the advertising he becomes hostile then hangs up.
Na keep yer money in yer pocket Chris.
