Hi rocker, stick FFA52 into search and you will see a post that does not give one a lot of confidence in the above model.

I had a customer with one, over a period of months the Hotpoint guy had made various repairs and mods including silver foil to cure the over freezing problem she eventualy contacted trading standards.

They in turn asked me to give a report on the unit, in short with T/S writing to the shop she got a repalcement but not a FFA52.

They may have sorted out the problems on the newer models tho.

    Good point eastimark.

Spoke with her today and it turns out that the oven works fine but the oven light does not work.
She tried a new bulb with no result and explained this to hotpoint spares who said it was the powerboard she needed.

Going Friday to diagnose (suspecting the clock as this has the oven light button included in it).

A very nice whisky from one of the highest distillerys in Scotland at 1073ft with it’s own meterological staion just south of Avimore.

You can pay up to £32 a bottle for the 15 year old and gets good 4 star ratings from those in the business.

Ah wish ye health tae drink it.

Thanks for your reply Martin, it’s the part that the control dial clips into.

The two half moon lugs have broken and this comes as part of the panel, I have repaired these before but customers hubby got in first with one of those big screwdrivers that 0800 have so not feasible, thanks tho.

    Re: S’now joke

Still manage to get round my calls with farmers picking me up at the end of the farm road.

One I did late (4pm) today was a tumble dryer, knocked on the door expecting to be welcomed into the nice warm hoose but no the T/D was in the garage. Outside temp on my van was reading minus 15.

Job done and paid for with a wee bit added for frost bite, it was minus 17 when I left this morning at 8am.

    Yiv tae ca canny.

Jim you mention you put on winter tyres so thought I might just try them.

Looking for 205 65 16 for my Vivano seem to be very very scarce as far as the web in concerned.

Any tips to a supplier via mail?.

    Re: S’now joke

Hi Rob, an anti freeze inhibitor is added to the diesel these days hence no freezing up.
