    Re: Buying appliances to resell

Service calls have really dropped off – April was dead – We sell a few new machines from DAD but mostly are selling second hand with 3 months
    £89 -£119 washers,
    Fridges & Freezers for £50 – £70
    Cookers From £79 up
We buy from local auction or pick up old scrap and repair some of them. The local dump will not allow us to pick them up even with a T1 as they say they are going to be recycled. I would have said local recycling center but they don’t as all washers/tumbles ect get crushed in a huge skip what makes me want to cry when they are only a year old and its a coin stuck in the filter.

100 hour deals.. that’s all. We sell Hotpoint tumbles at £189. Last week Currys dropped them to £179 from £189. Customer came in and said oh Currys is £10 cheaper but 2 week delivery.
I said same day free removal with us. Customer walked out saying well I wil to Currys. ??? 2 days later he is back buying our dryer as Currys had put it up to £229… Lol we sold out so I said it’s £219 now.. dicks.

Re: additional warranties on new appliances

We don’t sell any yet. Think d&g hold the market.
Only really worth selling reta warranty at cost as a bonus over Currys & ao ect. The good side is if you sell it you normally get paid to repair it what’s not a bad option.

may be a silly answer but had this problem with some Chinese crap. the forced the fan cables in back to front so the fan was running backwards.

Hi. I only work on lux ones. normally if a few years old they are just blocked up with fluff in the condenser. is it getting any heat at all. have a sniff around on Google and you might find test mode or if any helpful Bosch engineers on here might be willing to post.

Re: How possible at the price?

I asked them one day why could I buy an element on their sister site for £38 inc delivery or £52 plus vat and postage on trade site.
They said it was a mistake and lowered the price.
