Had an appliance this week. Nice looking new utility room Pulled it out plumbing not clipped to wall. Plumbing Leaning at 45 degrees with machine out pushed it back in and inlet hose sheared off as it got caught between top back of machine. Water up the windows! Looked an idiot. 45 mins mopping up flood! Customer then asked can you look at my fridge icemaker!

Oddly enough it looks fixable! New heater plus wires and new crimp terminals. Oh and buy yourself a plug in rcd if you have a wylex fusebox !

Loose spade terminals causing arcing and heating of the wire plastic insulation.
Maybe a leak from doorseal above. Do you have an rcd on your consumer unit?November 8, 2016 at 8:43 am in reply to: My 12 Year old Bosch Classixx 1400 just caught fire #442558Simon46

Ive never heard of a wfo doing this. Why didn’t it blow fuse or trip rcd on the consumer unit? I would be checking if the earth is connected on socket and Mains plug?

Yes have had to resort to filing to a 45 degree angle as some of them are 30 degrees. Oddly some of the same part no are ok.
