Re: tricity bendix WDR1041W no heat from elements

yeah jim i didnt get a 220 from the element , so what is the next step i seen a little water in the clear plastic pipe at the rear going from one side to the other and into the back of the dispenser drawer , so i guess it gets the signal from the pressure switch registering empty (no water in the tub) and back to the control board from there? its coming through on the stats side so is there a return path through the p/sw or straight from the control board ? thanks

yeah jim its getting a live feed 220v as in it has 220v at each of the element tags and from the connector when removed from the element, i just measured it to earth so it may not be carrying current when operating . i cant measure for amperage its really tight the jaws of my ammeter wont fit , i suspect the E40 to be customer related something they could have done …..students !

well its gonna be €150 for a control board , €30 for a heater plus my time , its 4 to5 yrs old so they will buy a new machine rather than waste that kind of money on the old appliance thats across the board with any major appliance when the parts prices go over €150

i dont have a megger , the board was blown clean , there was a lot of dust on it , blackened the plastic housing it is encased in too , this is whats left i didnt rub it though i’m a bit paranoid about static blowing components , i’m gonna buy a megger in the next few weeks realised its just so handy to rule all the stray earths and poor insulators out once and for all in one foul swoop ha

    Re: How to fit clutch

the centre piece is usually just pressed on ,its a tight fit so a considerable ammount of force is required to lift it off
