replaced one of these yesterday , fairly straight forward plenty of access , the fan chamber wasnt blocked but there was a thick layer of fluff on the surface which in theory could get hotter than normal , im sure we’ve all seen the singed fluff in the heater cover on the domestic stuff

Re: zanussi DW908 stops mid cycle

i have to refer back to the original post , the problem being it has 220v going to the element but its cold , i cant see how this problem is something to do with the pcb , it has power at the element terminals , i didnt measure amperage but surely that wouldnt matter it has 220v !has to be carrying current also right ?

checked all the obvious mike , customer decided to go for a new m/c as this one was 15 yrs old , it just loses power to the timer at the same point midway through i decided it was the timer so he went for the new one cheers kieran

ha some good feedback guys , it didnt shake about or make any unusual noises she said just kept leaking , could this be faulty materials ?

cant understand what could get through the inner drum to do that damage ? customer said she had a repair man in a few months ago to replace a heater element !

checked switch its working fine i dont understand how the element has continuity between both parts of it , there are 2 seperate rings 4 tags like a grill element !

Re: hoover SV23 001 low heat

poss Martin , i didnt take it out or check it for operation but there was power going to it i dont remember how many wires were going to it , i guess it just sends the power in both directions to heat both parts of the element when on high , could be that i spose , cheers i will check

    Re: siemens SE25A831GB/17 no heat

had another go at this , no power coming to the motor from the control board to start it when filling , no power going to the pressure switch either , all cycles starting to fill but thats all , motor windings ok, wiring looks fine no chaffing at door and all hoses clean took out control board and it looks ok also , no burning or any visible marks all connectors attatched and secure , looks like board prob though

Re: beko DRVS 62W noisy drum

on further inspection of this it turns out the motor is also making noise , loose bearing on the shaft, belt end customer scrapping m/c

    Re: siemens SE25A831GB/17 no heat

yeah i thought that too but its spinning ok when i stick a screwdriver into the vanes no power going to it to start it ? could it be a fill valve in the heater box i see there is a thermistor in there along with the heater and pressure switch
