ParticipantThink they use the type f europlug (Schuko) Dave, so unpolarized & no Fuse.

ParticipantThe circuit boards don’t have earth wires going to them. As Dave says it could be that you have an oversensitive RCBO, but as you say that you’ve moved it to another circuit and that also trips then I’d be looking towards a chafed through wire touching the earthed case or something similar. Yes the white boxes are relays but again they have no Earth connection. You could try lifting the PCBs from their mounting Pilar’s one at a time just to make sure that nothing is tracking to Earth.

ParticipantWhere the outlet from the dishwasher connects to the sink waste, did you remove the blanking plug before connecting the outlet pipe ?.

ParticipantOk, so unfortunately it seems that your now at the stage where you need to have a multimeter and know how to use it or look at calling in a professional to help you.

ParticipantHi: 6mm is more than adequate for what you need.

ParticipantThat’s a nice exploded view Dave, really clear.

ParticipantHi: As above an RCD detects earth fault current, An RCBO will detect earth fault current and also Overcurrent in the Live / Neutral circuit.
From your original description it appeared that the circuit breaker did trip when the elements were activated as you said everything was ok until you turned the selector switch on.Specialist01269
ParticipantFrom the description it’s an RCBO rather than an RCD. So it serves both functions: Overcurrent and Earth leakage protection, agreed it’s much more likely to be an element at fault.

ParticipantIf it’s still under guarantee, you opening the machine will void any time remaining on it.
Specialist01269
ParticipantAre you sure that the RCBO manual indicates an Earth fault ?.
Specialist01269
ParticipantIs it the MCB (Fuse) that trips out or the RCD (Main breaker) ?.
Specialist01269
ParticipantIs power to the interlock constant when in use or does it drop out ?.
Specialist01269
ParticipantThe inlet would include the isolation valve: Is water getting through it, the pipe to the machine: Same again. The inlet valve: Is it getting power, is the coil open circuit, is water getting through the valve when energised etc.
Specialist01269
ParticipantWhen you say that you’ve checked the inlet, what have you checked and what have you found ?.
