To check the elements, make a note of & remove the element wiring. You should have 2 sets of terminals 1 for the inner element & 1 for the outer.
Across 1 set of terminals you should see 50-60 ohms, across the second set you should see 20-30 ohms approximately. This is for a 230volt element, you should definately not have an open circuit.

First things first, how many Elements does your oven have? & have you checked the Element/Elements for continuity. You need to do this first just to make sure that you did’nt get a dud element or possibly if more than 1 element is fitted you did’nt accidentally replace the wrong 1, then we can go from there.

It could be the selector switch / Stat / Thermal cutout etc.

Please note: there is absolutely no need for you to be trying to live test on an appliance, it is dangerous & unnescessary. Getting :zap: can seriously shorten your life.

Hi: As this is a surface mounted component, you need to be very careful when trying to replace. It’s very easy to take the print right off the PCB if your not extremely careful.
You should be able to follow the print tracks from the chip to it’s board connector & then follow the wiring from there to the faulty component.
The part looks like it may well be a control Triac, unfortunately surface mount Triacs are not usualy readily available to the public.

Hi: As with all Washing machines, if they are overloaded then they are unable to complete the cycle properly. From the descriptions given then I would have to say that your problems are due to overloading / unbalanced loads & not machine faults.

Hi: You could have 1 of Several things wrong, Faulty Thermal cutout, faulty control etc. Without actually seeing the oven it’s difficult to say.
Why did you replace the Element? did you check it with either a Multimeter or Megger first to see if it was faulty?

Hi: That may work but it’s doubtful, don’t condemn the programmer just because this does’nt work.

Hi Jim: Cheers for the reply mate, apparently this machine has been looked at by someone else for a no heat fault but now it’s Intermittently going Dead with some lights flashing but she can’t remeber which.
Second 1 of these i’ve had in the last week after the same bloke, last 1 was no dryer heat so he replaced the wash element as it apparently does both. Go figure. Luckily all that 1 took was a replacement Dry element & Re seat a couple of connectors properly.
Anyway just thought that if possible i’d go to this 1 ready armed just in case.

Re: Siemens dishwasher – water not heating, machine not stop

Hi: Your machine is probably waiting for a Signal from the temperature sensor to tell it that the water is up to temperature & to move the programme on, with an open circuit element it can’t get the signal as there’s no heat.
