    Re: Samsung SR2229CVW Defrost problem….

Been a long hard week!and not finished yet 🙁
Sounds strange that the condenser fan(the one behind at the back) is switching on and off,it usually comes on with the compressor and stays on until the compressor is switched off, it’s wires likely go to the compressor terminals, the plastic box on the side of the motor.if they do go there it should run continously as it dissapates all the heat that is taken out of the food, the black radiator device must be free of dust check it from the front too. There are some fans controlled by a sensor in the condensor but not on this one.
    Switch off before touching.
The condenser fan sounds to me like it’s part of the problem,is it free when you spin it with your finger, does the shaft move in it’s bearings ? it could be worn afer 8 years

    Re: unusual mistral fan fault

I have when in doubt or when all else fails connected the evap fan supply connector to the compressor supply so when the comp starts so does the fan.
I have diagrams does the pcb have connectors along the bottom or is there one on the end (two pcb’s for these) ?

Customers just go for a cheap replacement which is easier than the consumer rights fight.
Will let you know the cost when it comes through.
Not looking forward to first call today, dirty moo with cat’s and cat food all over the kitchen, double YUK,whats the point of trying to be smart and clean.

Thanks as I said have already contacted suppliers via a search engine and have the data sheet.
Fault code says that motor triac o/c which I can trace on part of this heatsink/triac.
As for the sale of goods act and and merchantable quality my experience of 35 years or more, 99.9{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} will dump and run because they don’t/can’t do with the hassle as suppliers well know.

Hair dryer is fine if it’s not held close to the plastic,a lower powered one is better r set it on lower heat.
No sharp objects and switch off first.

The triacs are all part of the same, with two screws fixing it in place. This is a washer dryer.
    it can be seen at

The three small triacs that can be seen in the front left don’t run the motor.

EMW don’t do these so have put feelers out to find a triac,it has 18 legs however so it may be pig to fit, depends on price as to whether I try it or not..

Is the sensor if there is one seperate or is it part of the baffle assembly, could be that !
I have the same model with a defrost problem, defrost heater and cut outs are OK. I was looking for diagram/manual etc.

Re: Zanussi ZKR 59/39R Fridge Freezer help needed please!

I would suspect you have a small refigerant loss which could be topped up but you will need an engineer, the compressor runs constantly but never switches off and creates ice buld up in the fridge,it hasn’t enough gas in the sysytem to reach around to were the sensor sits so runs constantly and doesn’t defrost.

    Re: Hoover VHD 9143/Triac fault

Motor checks OK it’s not a brush type it’s the little phase one (I think) have, with my limited electronics knowledge checked the triacs etc but the motor supply is via a bigger type triac device heat sunk to the metal shield with lots of connections to the board and has STK621-140 and 5DBOJ stamped on it.
Not a type I’ve seen before.
have mailed emw but awaiting a reply.
    Module type is MDL CID0011H
Brodders, can’t see any terminal markings as you suggest checking.
