yes im afraid you will have to remove oven to gain access to the element fixing screws,as always make sure you turn off the power to the oven befoe comencing any repairs, remember saftey first

i have used wd40, also brake cleaner, let them soak for 5 mins,you should be able to pull the fan blade off the shaft,i have done lots and lots of these,Re: Reliability Advice Hotpoint Ultima WMD940 are they ok
keep the bosch,dont buy any hotpoint / indesit / creda laundry products,
