Re: Sold Amica AK233 fridge freezer

I will have to phone this customer later so there is a time limit here.
It would be a shame for one of you to miss an opportunity here.

I believe there is a drawer or flap at the base, open that, remove the plate in the base and vala there is your element.

Sounds like it is taking the rcd out. My guess would be the overheat or cooling fan tripping and shorting to earth when they operate.

Does the clock need setting on that model?
Failing that check the thermal cutout and commutator(selector switch)
This is a oven out job and as always turn the power off.

Furniture spray polish sprayed on the floor in the space to put it in. To pull out tilt backward enough to put a towel under front feet and as Martin says, open the door and pull

It would be worth disconnecting the power and removing the heater element so that you can have a good look around that area for bra wires, hair grips , Tesco club cards ( other cards are available) all of which can cause this problem, especially on lighter garments that are forced through the drum holes on spin. A word of warning, the elements can be difficult to remove and even harder to put back, so if you are in any doubts call an engineer.

Just Google training centre near you. It wont teach domestic Refrigeration but will get you your qualification. There is also the qualification that is designed for domestic refrigeration. I think Ian Dale or R600a knows more.

    Hi Bryan
The system is freshly charged with R600a. What would you suggest? Am calling to have another look tomorrow morning.
    Cheers Steve

So will the fridge eventually kick in once the freezer has reached temp?

    Hi Bryan
Thanks for the info, could you explain what you mean by the freezer circuit only open on start up?
    And forced start required.
Does that mean that customers have to do a forced start when first turned on?
