    Re: Thermostat Replacement

    Hi Gary

Unless you are competent with electrics and testing I would call an engineer experienced with that brand, Is it all electric or dual fuel? If its duel fuel you may need the engineer to be gas safe registered as there is a possibility of disturbing the hob which will need a tightness test doing.

Re: Help with NEFF oven instructions

    Hi

Once a time is set and not blinking the right hand knob is for your fan oven. The left hand Knob is for your Grill and it looks like conventional cooking (Top and bottom heat) Turn the L/H Knob off and the R/H knob on and you should hear the fan on the back wall start turning. If it isnt then you may have inadvertently set a start time which will need to be canceled. If the fan is turning but you aren’t getting any heat then you will need an engineer to call.

    Hope that helps

Is the waste plumbed to the sink trap? if so it might be worth taking the spigot of and checking for blockages there>

    Re: Neff fridge freezer problem

When it ran for 24hrs did it cool, if so it sounds like a thermostat/control pcb issue. I would recommend getting your local guy out as he will be able to bypass the pcb to prove that it is faulty. Much cheaper than NEFFs option. Look at the find an engineer option on this site.

    Hi Martin

I have forwarded your details to a guy that has been through my training program. He has had 7 years previous experience in Italy and speaks fluent english. I was impressed with him and would employ him myself if he lived in my area and I had the work for him. His name is Claudiu Stefan Oprea and he lives in HP12

    Re: gas training

Am still looking into this issue of being able to get trained. The above option didnt pan out.

I have how ever found another company offering training starting at Cat3 (no experience) Taking you through to fully qualified for £2848.00.

This will require a bit of sacrifice on your part as you will need to build a portfolio working alongside a gas safe engineer for 90 days. This doesn’t need to be 90 days straight. Also 8 days at there training centre in North Lincolnshire.
We maybe able to get a discount if we have good numbers interested.

Could you let me know who would be interested so I can do a bit more negotiating.

One of the first thing we teach on our white goods repair training courses. No point testing the machine if there isn’t an earth in the socket.

    Hi
The blockage could be before the drain in the hose feeding it. Its also worth checking the drain pipe end if connected to a spigot on the sink trap.
