Re: Currys tech guys cleaning service

£59 how are currys going to make any money on this?

Currys are selling the policy between £30-£50.

Then there is RC mark up?

How is it you managed to get them to pay you that rate when I believe the charge was around £40 😕

How do work that out, RC only pay £40 that includes chemicles which if your making £15 the cleaning company must be charging £25 😕

Most of them in my area charge £40-£50 for a proper clean.

Thats what i thought even though it included dinner yet dinner usually around £15 with that you are still paying around £40 more than the Hilton.

Must admit does look POsh, probably too POsh for the likes of us.

Now if it included drinks 😀

That £40 extra can buy a few extra rounds 😉

    A bit of a minefield this !

If customer did take it home themselves who to say they did not drop or damage it some how?

    The company ‘Discount Domestics’

Looks like they sell graded products?

    Was it sold as new?

    Was it packaged up properly?

It looks like they are euronics dealer, so tell him to contact them?

    From their site!

We Deliver, We Install, We Care! Our philosophy in two words: Service and Price. Euronics Retailers are often family-run businesses, who take pride in their customer service and product knowledge. They take the time to get to know the customer and the product, so when you come into a Euronics store, you’re not talking to someone who’s under pressure to reach targets. In reality you’ll probably be talking to the owner or family member, someone with serious know-how in their field. So not only will they be giving you a brilliant price, they’ll be able to provide you with advice you can really trust.

And it doesn’t stop there! Euronics Retailers also focus on after sales service; from delivery to installation, servicing and repairs, the Euronics experience does not stop when you exit the shop. They care about their customers and pride themselves on the attention they give to their customers after the sale.

For more information about Euronics go to Euronics International

He has already written a review on there site by the looks saying dont buy from this company.

Its really over my head this stuff :duck:

I understand the frustration of creating something that really should be so simple.

For the likes of us the amount of customers and stock held is low compared to what you would require i can see that.

I will let you know in the months to come how i am progressing with it and if it is really working for me. Its got to be easier and quicker long term than what i using now.

    We shall see 😉

    Thanks for your reply

    Re: SEPTEMBER 2010 MEETING

Not having a great knowledge of computers and certain sytems is sometimes beyond me. I can switch it it on and get by 😳

The system i think is only windows, so you being a MAC man wont help.

It does have bar code scanner, it is updated by remote and has remote back up, full stock control.

This system has been developed over 15 years while Paul was working in the trade, he sold and services white and brown goods, electrical and computing stuff, so this has really been developed for our trade.

So when he got with his IT guy and said it needs to do this and that he has updated as he gone along.

It has diary (basic), sales, service , workshop job logging customers print your job sheets, invoices, quotes, suppliers raise purchase orders, make up bar codes, print euro hangers, Weee tickets, it does have a lot on it and its not that complicated to navigate.
As said only just got it and if i can actually get round it with my lack of brains then anyone can.

Entering a customer is really one click.
Even can add extras, post code software, links to sage, sms customers, connects to phone line so when a customer calls it tells you who is calling (if a regular customer).

Its seems easier than service base.

But you know more about these things than i do, you can only try it, apart from the scanner and till printer, you can still see it fully working if you have windows.

Only thinking of you and your time 😉

In your honest opinion would you not rate this?

    Hi Ken

Why dont you look at this, http://www.datapos.co.uk

Has everything from stock control, call logging, diary full epos retail / service CRM.

I have been looking for a while at several CRM systems but as you know can be very costly.

I only just got started with it myself recently, and it takes a while just to enter the basic stock and suppliers etc, it has taken over a month just to play around and get used to my self, let alone a whole system from scratch. So not afive minte job.

He is a friend of mine who i have known for years, who was in the TV and WGoods trade built this up taken over 15 years to get where it is.
I didnt realise until recently when i spoke and said i was looking for something like this he had this system running in two shops.

It has been adapted for different types of businesses so flairly flexible.

when they showed it at a show one year I think it was Cromwell who are big in CRMs were there demo ing theirs and even they were fairly impressed with the amount of stock in the system how quick it was to search for parts.
Some Retra members also use it.

If intersted they have a demo you can download, which is the full package to check it out for a month.

I was going to promote it more once i had mine up and running fully as there are always guys on the site looking for such a thing.

I know you said you had something yourself in the pipe line, but its not a over night job, and this may save you some of your valuble time. 😉

The price is affordable as well.

Most of the older m/c’s modules fitted dozens of models in the range anyway and just needed a link taking out to suit the one you are fitting it to

Hotpoint & Hoover for example most of them came with a note to say which link.

I have access to all the information needed, its just that the this particuar pcb arrived with nothing to say a link requires removing so did not read the bulletin online before calling for the 1200 spin and was not initially obvious until it only spun at 800. 😳

    I think it was a Bush wm1260tve.

Its all working fine, it just would have been easier to know this prior to fitting.

Why would you think supplying a module is a manufacturers ‘legal’ obligation?

Did I say this 😕 or are is it because i posted it in here intead of technical :rolls:

    No obligation whatsoever

In the listing of non faults, you have a list of problems etc relating to washing / drying..

How about my washing is coming out damaged or holes in clothing, not a fault with machine its due to the fact they havent read the friggin care label?

If it says wash at 30 slow or no spin, dont wash it on 40 1600 spin :rolls:

What is your {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} currently for your charges across the board Switch, debit, credit cards.

Your credit card must be around 2{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} 😯

If you only get charged a fixed fee for Debit / Switch cards you could say you only accept these cards around 18-25p per transaction.

It always depends wheather is a the chance of making or loosing a sale £18 is a rip off by the banks.

I have recently done one from the web site via pay pal cost me around £28 8O, dont do it this way now get them to call 😉
What I am doing at the moment is giving the £20 to Help for Heroes instead when they buy on line. 🙂

I currently pay Switch / solo / electron / Debit average 0.23 per transaction
Credit Card 1.3{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} Which would make my charge on £900 £11.70

So say to customers you only accept Debit cards?
